FIFTY TWO

Austin sighed as he looked at his reflection in the mirror. He buttons up his shirt and grabs his phone before walking out of the room.

He locks up the house and gets in his car and drives off to John's house. He doesn't know what happened with his feelings towards John and he doesn't know how to move forward from it.

"Do I break things off with him?" He asks himself but then he didn't want to. He really liked John and something was missing in their relationship and he doesn't know what it is.

Before he knew it, he had arrived at John's estate. A smile forms on his face as he finds the man standing by the door with a champagne flute.

He parks the car and gets out, walking towards John with a small smile on his face.

"Welcome, I hope you like champagne" John says happily.

Austin takes the glass and takes a sip.

"This is good. I can tell it's the real thing"

John chuckles and holds Austin's hand.

"How about we head inside, it's a little nippy this evening"

They get inside the house and Austin saw a large cheese board on the table, he chuckles.

"That's a big ass board"

"Yeah....I ordered it just for you." John says as he plates up for him.

John was feeling uneasy,  something was off about Austin and he feels like the man's feelings for him really changed. What could he possibly do?

"So uhm....we need to have a little chat" he says and Austin nodded. They head to the patio and sit down.

John sighed and looks at Austin.

"Are we good?" He asks and Austin was taken aback for a moment. So he wasn't the only one who noticed this oddness?

"I think so. I thought we were drifting apart for some reason" Austin says and John sighed.

"Is it me? Am I boring?" He asks and Austin shook his head and held his hand.

"Of course not. Maybe we need a restart, we met when our emotions were messed up and I have a feeling that we now healed and we find ourselves at odds"

John nods, that could be possible.

"How do we fix it?"

"How about we start all over, we date. No sex until we're really sure about this" Austin suggests and John nodded.

"I can do that. I'm willing to do anything to make sure this works"

Austin smiled at him.

"Same here"

"The lawyer you sent made the judge give me the house and the car. Your father will just keep his money"

"That's good. Will you keep the house?"

"I'm thinking of selling it. I know it has sad memories for you and I don't want to trigger you if you were to visit me"

Jack gave it a thought for a moment.

"Mom wait, let me buy it from you"

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah, I can make happier memories with Dave and our future kids in there."

"Oh...okay, I'll send the house details to the lawyer, they'll talk to you very soon"

"Thanks mom. Now get some sleep, you need the rest"

"You too, bye dear"

He sighs in relief and lays down on the bed. He was glad his parent's divorce proceedings didn't last long.

"What are you thinking about?" Dave asks as he stepped out of the bathroom, his freshly showered body still steaming from the hot water.

Jack sits up on the bed and beckons his forth, making him sit on his lap.

"My parents are now divorced"

Dave was shocked. That quick?

"So it was a mutual decision" he says. The fact that Jack's father didn't even fight for his wife spoke a lot about the man.

"Yeah. No need to dwell on it, it's all over now" Jack says and Dave shrugs.

"You're right. So tell me, we're going shopping tomorrow right? I want to see Thai fashion"

"Okay but we're leaving as soon as you're done. Victoria sounded serious in that call"

Dave rubbed his shoulders and smiled at him.

"You should relax babe. Not everything will go wrong"

"I know I know, I just feel anxious that's all"

Dave kisses him on the lips and rubs his forehead on Jack's.

"Do you need a distraction? I'm happy to help"

"Let's do something else"

"Okay, like what?"

Jack sat up and held Dave's hands.

"Do you really want to have kids with me? Having kids can take a toll on the relationship."

"I know. But I know that we'll be alright. I know I expect a lot but with you, I know we can do anything"

Jack smiled at him. Having his childhood robbed from him, he vowed to make his kids happy and be the best parent to his abilities. He only hopes that his efforts do not come across as him trying to change his own past.

"How about pets? What if they want dogs?" He asks and Dave laughs.

"We can buy them a dog and they'll play in the backyard"

Jack began feeling excited about this.

"Taking them to school, soccer practice, dance recitals, spelling bees and graduations"

Dave could see the twinkle in Jack's eyes. The man was really happy. He smiles and holds Jack's face.

"You look more happier than when we first met"

Jack chuckles.

"I was a jerk I know but be honest, you liked my mean side"

Dave smirks and rubs his thumb over Jack's lips.

"I do and I see it everytime we make love"

"Oh?" Jack asks as he takes Dave's thumb in his mouth.

"Yeah....sometimes I just want you to take advantage of me"

Jack smirks at him.

"My my, Mr Montgomery what a dirty mind you have"

Dave shrugged.

"A gentleman in the streets, a freak in the sheets"

He giggles as Jack held him down on the bed and whimpers as he feels the man's knee on his crotch.

"I should really explore your fetish with pain" Jack says and Dave pulls him down for a kiss.

Jack pulls away and tends to his fiancé's neck making Dave moan and arch his back against his hold.

Then his phone rang. Jack sighed and Dave shook his head.

"Ignore it"

"What if it's an emergency"

Dave sighed and nodded. Jack leaves the bed, grabs his phone and picks up the call.

"Hello?"

"Good day sir, this is Dr Korn from the Thainakarin Hospital. We have a car accident victim here and your name is on the emergency contact list"

Jack felt his heart drop. Was his mother in an accident?! But he just spoke with her!!

"I'll be there in a few minutes"
