Gabby and her friends snuggled into the fluffy blanket facing the laptop. Popcorn and drinks were all over the place as well as a few textbooks.
"Shey we've answered present for English class?" Brume asked and Nini nodded.
"This is the life. Online class is the best." Gabby said taking a sip from her cup.
"And to think it's just day one." Nini sighed.
"Girls?" The girls looked up in alarm as they heard the knock on the door. Gabby immediately switched the movie to the WhatsApp group chat. Nini rolled off the bed and grabbed the first textbook she got her hands on while Brume took her iPad and began to read a random note there.
The room door opened and Gabby's mother smiled at the girls. "Aren't you hungry yet? It's almost two. You've been reading all morning."
"We're fine mum. Tell the housekeeper to get us more snacks though." Gabby replied and her mother nodded. The door closed behind the woman and Gabby rushed to lock it.
"That was close." Nini said, flinging the book across the room. Notifications came into their devices at the same time and they checked their phones.
"Why is Mike hosting a Zoom meeting? Is he crazy?" Gabby grumbled.
"Let's just use your laptop instead." Brume said as they gathered on the bed again. Gabby clicked on the link and they joined the zoom call. A few of their classmates had already joined the call so they waited for everyone to come online.
"Kelvin is at Damien's place." Nini said as she pointed at the two boys who were not facing the camera. "Kelvin what are you doing there?" She asked jokingly and the said boy turned around in with a blank look on his face.
He spotted at the three girls and rolled his eyes. "Same thing you are doing at Gabby's place." He replied before waving the game pad at the camera.
Eventually more of their classmates came online and Mike smiled when he saw the number of people that had joined the call.
"Thank you all for honouring my invitation." He finally said and his classmates disagreed with him.
"Waste one more second and we'll hang up." Natasha snapped. She patted the beauty mask on her face smugly as her classmates supported her.
"Fine fine." Mike resigned, "So I have big news!" He exclaimed happily.
"When do you never?" Damien said and his classmates laughed.
"It's pretty mind blowing this time around. So, I was scrolling through the web last night and I found a very strange website, ourlittleteenvoices.com" he said, gaining the attention of his classmates, "So, I went through the new website only to find out that it's a platform that supports Ultio." He explained.
"Who's Ultio?" Ugochi asked in confusion. Her classmates groaned at the interruption as they wondered where she was when the name was established.
"Ultio is the name we gave to whomever is seeking justice for the students at our school." Ife explained and Ugochi nodded in understanding.
"Is it someone from our school that made the website?" Damien asked.
"I have no idea honestly. The privacy and security system in the site is very tight so it's very hard to reveal a person's identity there." Mike said, "The shocking part is that the number of people joining the site is growing each hour. It was at 300 last night and before I called you guys, it was at 1000."
