~×I fell hard in your arms×~

The swirl of fallen leaves paves the path to the creepy house that stood atop a hill just along a dirt road. A road that looks like it could use some maintenance. The end of the road was too narrow for a car to get through so any visitors would have to walk up the path, which is about a mile long. That was the case for the two silhouettes shrouded in the shadows. Dead leaves give way under the weight of their foot falls as the evening breeze carries the audible crunch through the darkened sky. A moon; yellow and full, hung in the sky lazily.

"Why are we here again?"

"I got a call from a lady about a possible haunt."

One of the individuals; Celeste, turned to look at the other woman with a confused look upon her beautiful face. "I thought you stopped hunting ghosts?"

"I did. But this lady sounded so distraught that she said she'd pay me double what I normally would have wanted."

"So it's about the money."

Angela stopped half way in the road and lit up her friend's face with the flashlight she held. Celeste shielded her eyes as she backed away a bit, her left foot sliding over the dirt a bit to kick up some dirt that swirled around her boot.

"It's not about the money, I-...." Angela lowers the flashlight and looks over to the house before to the ground. "I just wanted the thrill again. I miss ghost hunting with my brother and now that-"

Celeste took that moment to step forward and grab Angela by the arms before pulling her in to wrap the girl up in a tight embrace. Angela accepted it and wrapped her arms up under her friend's arms.

"It's okay, you don't have to say anymore. If this is something you want to do then I'm right there with you." Celeste says before pressing a kiss to her temple.

"Thank you so much Cel. I don't know what I would ever do without you."

The girl just smiled into her friend's shoulder before slowly releasing her and holding her a few inches away so she could rub her hands up and down Angela's arms as the chill of fall settled within her body from the constant light breeze that wrapped around them. They resumed their journey up the ridiculously tall hill.

Celeste was lent over on her knees, panting from the effort. All while Angela stood tall and started to examine the front of the house. She glanced over when Celeste straightened up with her arms crossed behind her head. Panting heavily.

"Are you gonna make it?" Angela giggled.

She looks over and offers a sheepish smile.

"Yeah... just... give me... a second."

Angela snorts and shakes her head and then turns back to face the front door before she raises her hand to use the door knocker. It was in the shape of a fox. The bottom of the mouth was the moveable part. Angela grabbed a hold and slammed it against the door three times. A loud echoing knock, each time, that reverberated throughout the house causes Angela to feel a bit uneasy. But she paid it no mind once the door slowly creaked open. Once it was half way opened the two women could see that no one was there.

Suddenly, a sweet smell fluttered past the two. Celeste's body froze, her eyes widening and her mouth twitches. No.

"Smells like-"

"-sweet wine and lavender." Celeste finished.

"Yeah!" Angela snapped her fingers with a smile.
