Light - Sleeping at Last
I'll give you everything I have
I'll teach you everything I know
I promise I'll do better
I will always hold you close
But I will learn to let you go
I promise I'll do better

Fel fiddled with the dirty pink dress as she stood staring at the trailer. Something was wrong, she could feel it. The metal was placed all around, restricting the bats from tearing through. But still, she felt like it might not hold.
" It'll work" She spun slightly and saw Eddie there staring at her now. She took in a breath of relief and nodded. " I hope you are right about that." Her finger was still playing with the fabric touching the flowers every once in a while.
The upside down was cold and made the metal necklace chill her neck even more. She couldn't tell if she was shivering from the cold air or the thought of being back here again. Eddie approached her slowly calling her name gently but she didn't respond. She was lost in her thoughts.
" Lis look at me" Eddie spoke now in front of her grabbing the sides of her face and pulling her back to reality. " It's going to work" She scanned his face looking for any signs of doubt and surprisingly there were none. She grabbed his hands that were on her cheeks and held them tightly.
" What if it doesn't" She whispered so that Dusty who was a few feet away from them, waiting for the signal from Erica, couldn't hear her worry. " It will" Felicity shook her head slightly at Eddie and his optimism.
" I've lost too many people Eddie." The girl's eyes were filling with water just thinking of the ones she could never hold again. " Felicity stop everything is going to be-"
" I can't lose anyone else" She cut him off and he sighed. He pulled her into his chest. He watched the dark sky flicker with lightning. And even though she was in a place where danger lurked, here in his arms she felt everything but fear.
" It's going to be alright darling" he huffed against her forehead kissing her temple, he squeezed his eyes shut tightly when doing so. Because suddenly, he felt the fear of losing her twisting inside him.

The first day of school is something a lot of people hate. Very few actually like it. But today, senior year, Felicity's first day of school, she was over the moon. Never once had she stepped into Hawkin's high. Or any public school at that. She had always wanted to go to public but her mother always sided against it.
Fel had about five changes of clothes that morning. She couldn't decide what to wear, she had something picked out the night before. But once it was on, she despised it. And so finally with Dustin groaning waiting for her to hurry up in the bathroom, she came to a decision.
She wore a simple white dress that was once her mother's. It was short and had elegant white lace flowers across it. Everything about it screamed beauty. Looking at the dress in the mirror she remembers her mother sewing it together. Now here she was wearing it to her first day of public school ever.
Despite all of Dustin's lectures about how bad Hawkin's high was going to be, she still had high hopes. Felicity skipped right through the doors. Everyone took notice of the girl. Her smile was blinding and the smell of violets filled the hallways.
