Chapter 5- One Little Phone Call

I woke up to the sound of my phone buzzing.I groaned.I lazily slapped random things with my hand until I found my phone.I got it and then opened my eyes slowly.I had 2 missed calls from Lilly.I sighed.Should I answer it?Yeah,I can take her.

I got up from bed and put my phone on my nightstand.I looked over to Vincent who was snoring softly.I smiled at him.I then walked over to my closet and picked out a outfit.I then went to the bathroom.I took a steamy shower and then dried myself.I brushed my knotted hair until it looked good.I put my hair in a messy bun.I then got dressed in a red v-neck,black shorts and my red converse.

I exited the bathroom and grabbed my phone.I opened the window and sat on the windowsill."Good morning,Quinn"I heard Vincent's morning voice."Morning"I said back.He got up and then went into the bathroom.He probably had a massive hangover.The call could wait,I had to help him out.I put my phone back on my nightstand.

I searched through my bag until I found a bottle of aspirin,I then went into the mini fridge and got a cold bottle of water.I heard vomiting sounds from the bathroom which confirmed that he had a hangover.I knocked on the door but then decided to just come in.

"Here,it helps with the hangover"I said handing him the bottle of aspirin and water."Thanks,I ran out of aspirin and I really do need this right now"he said popping 2 pills.He also took a swig of the water."How much did you drink?"I asked."A lot.Victoria was trying to get me drunk"he groaned."Well I gotta call someone"I said exiting the bathroom.I could tell that he was curious to who this someone was but I was curious too.About Victoria and about why he got here.Until he opened up,I had no reason to open up either.

I closed the window and grabbed my phone.I opened the dorm window and went to the tunnels.I didn't go far,just so that I didn't get lost.I pressed the call button.Instantly she picked up."Well hello,Quinn"she said."What do you want?"I said in a voice full of complete venom."I see that your doing pretty well in that school"she answered."Does it feel good knowing that everyone will blame you for killing a girl.Does it feel good that your parents are terrified of you,I told them that a girl died in that fire and they basically said they never wanted to keep you as a child"she chuckled as she said these things."Your a crazy bitch.You know your responsible for what happened!"I basically yelled at her."Wow first time,I hear you curse"she chuckled."I don't care anymore.Get out of my life!"I screamed and then ended the call.

I sat down on the cold floor and put my hands over my eyes.I just cried,letting my sobs echo the tunnel walls.My parents were terrified of me just because of a lie.Lilly she only cared about herself.She was ruthless.She needed to be in jail not me.She should be guilty but she's basically laughing at the whole situation.That girl probably had a family or friends who are now mourning over her death and Lilly is laughing at it.I tried to think about the good things.At least I wouldn't go to jail because of this academy.Everyone would look at me as a killer back home.I can't go back,I decided.

I wiped my tear stained cheeks and got up.I wasn't wearing any makeup so nothing got ruined.I went to Maddie's dorm room,2A and knocked."Come in!"I heard her voice and opened the door."Well hi Quinn,you don't look so good"she frowned when she saw me."I had a call and let's just say it didn't end well"I explained briefly."From who?"she asked."Lilly"I said."Oh"she frowned."Well that's why I'm here.I can totally help"she gave me a smile."Thanks"I managed to give her a weary smile.

"What's your favorite ice cream flavor?"she asked."Mint chocolate chip"I answered."That's Sean's favorite too,mine is cookie dough"she said getting out the tubs of ice cream from her mini fridge.She got two mugs out too.She prepared the ice cream.Then she handed me my mug."Thanks"I mumbled.I ate a spoonful of the delicious ice cream."So do you think you can tell me what that girl said to you?"Maddie asked."Yeah,I think so"I ate another spoonful of the ice cream before talking.I told Maddie every single thing that was on my mind and all about the call and she was there listening to me.

"So you can't go back"Maddie said when I finished."Yeah"I responded."You can always stay with Blair and I or even Sean,Luke or Vincent.We care"she reasoned.Then I stayed quiet.Thinking about it.They really did care.And that was all I needed someone who cared about me.I think everyone needed someone who cared.Everyone needed love,thats just how it works.

"Quinn?"Maddie's voice interrupted my thoughts.I looked up and saw her concerned face."Sorry I was just thinking.Your right I do have you guys"I gave her a smile."Oh good your smiling again"she sighed in relief."And you've defiantly got us,don't ever forget it"she added with a Cheshire Cat smile.I laughed at this."Want to have a Netflix marathon? I really am craving some Once Upon A Time"I asked."Oh my gosh,totally.I absolutely love Once Upon A Time"she squealed in excitement.I laughed at this.

She turned on her tv and then went to Netflix."Wheres your roommate anyway?"I asked."Oh probably fucking someone"she answered simply."You have a guy roommate too"I said with a smirk."Yup but he is a complete total pig"she groaned.I chuckled.I'm glad that I had true friends now.Friends that would always cheer me up no matter what.To be honest that's all you need in life,true friends.And pizza.You need pizza in life too.And wifi.Cause wifi is the bomb.I shook my head to get rid of the silly thoughts.

Maddie put on Once Upon A Time and shut off the lights.It was basically what we did for the whole entire day.We finished a couple of seasons and then dozed off....
