Chapter 11-Jax

I woke up at about 10:00 PM.Which meant that 2nd period was already taking place.I looked over to my side and saw Vincent laying there,exhausted.I sat up,ignoring the slight pain in my ankle and grabbed my crutches.I went into the bathroom.Took a shower and then changed.I changed into a long sleeved sweater,jeans and some converse.I let my blonde hair loose and decided to wear my glasses instead of my contacts for the day.

"Are you okay Quinn?"Vincent asked as soon as I came out of the bathroom."I'm fine,it's just some dumb ankle after all"I gave him a smile."I'm staying to help you out today"He decided."No go prank people.I'll be fine"I protested."But I'll just end up thinking about you when I'm pranking people.I rather stay here with you"he blurted out.I just blushed.

"How's the pain in your ankle doing?"he asked changing the subject."It's subsided"I answered as I sat down on my bed."Alright well what do you want for breakfast"he asked as he opened the mini fridge."What are our options?"I asked."Pancakes.Bacon & eggs.Or some fruit"he answered as he looked into the mini fridge."Bacon & eggs would be nice"I said."Bacon & eggs it is then"I heard him mumble.

He got the bacon out and started to cook."Do you want the egg scrambled or hard boiled?"he asked."Scrambled please"I said.Then a brilliant idea came to me.I still had to get him back for that random hug that he had given me.I grabbed my crutches and walked up to him.I managed to hug him from behind.I felt all of his muscles tense up."Quinn,what are you doing?"he asked."Hugging you duh"I answered."Why?"he asked clearly tense."I don't know I just wanted to"I said repeating the words he had said to me.

I pulled away and he got back to cooking.We ate in silence."Wanna sneak into a pet shop today?"he asked."Oh my god yes!I love animals"I said with a smile.He helped me with my crutches.We got into the tunnels and headed towards the escape vent.He busted it open.He carried me up and then he climbed up.He carried me bridal style as he ran,after all we couldn't get caught.

The pet store was actually really close.It was possibly 15 minutes away from the school.We got to the little shop and Vincent set me down.I grabbed my crutches and walked inside.I started to gush at all the adorable animals.My eyes landed on the puppies and I squealed.Vincent chuckled at my reaction.I spotted the most adorable husky ever.

It was grey and had two different colored eyes.One was ice blue and the other was a very dark blue."Can I play with the puppy?"I asked the lady at the counter.She just nodded.I got the puppy out of the cage and started to play with it.It was a boy.He wagged his tale when I took him out.I rubbed his belly and he just licked me.I smiled at him,he was perfect.

"How much does he cost?"I asked."$900,he has had all his shots and the supplies will probably cost 100$"the lady answered."Oh"I said my face filled with disappointment."I guess this is goodbye puppy"I said as I put him back into his cage."I'll meet you outside Quinn,I want to see a bit more animals"he said.I just nodded and walked outside.

After a while,Vincent came out with a bag filled of supplies and something on a leash.I looked down and saw that husky.My eyes widened in happiness."OH MY GOD!THANK YOU!THANK YOU!"I pecked him on the lips which caught him in surprise.I knelt down and looked at the husky.He wagged his tail when he saw my face."So what are you going to name it?"he asked.I looked up at him smiling."Jax"I answered."Nice name choice"he commented."Thanks"I laughed.

We sneaked back into the campus with Jax in my arms.Apparently pets were against the rules but lots of students had them in their dorms since the dorms never got checked.Jax was pretty quiet which helped a ton with the whole sneaking him into campus thing.I tried not to think about that peck that I had given Vincent.

"How did you manage to get the supplies and Jax?"I asked once we got into the dorm."I save up money and it was worth spending it on Jax"he said with a smile."Thanks again"I got up from the floor and hugged Vincent.He returned the hug.After a while we both pulled back and stared at each other.His eyes darted to my lips but his eyes quickly went back to my own eyes.I was also sort of staring at his perfect pink lips.What was going on with my hormones today?He started to lean in and I found myself doing the same exact thing.

But then we were interrupted by barking.I snapped out of my trance and saw Jax."You must be hungry"I mumbled.I quickly looked over to Vincent who seemed a bit disappointed.I ignored it and went to go get Jax's bowl and food.I poured the puppy food into his bowl and he quickly started to munch on it.As Jax was eating,I got all his other supplies out.Like his cage and chew toys.I filled up another bowl of his with water and put it down for him.

After Jax finished eating,he was extra playful.I sat down on the floor and Vincent sat right next to me."Come here Jax"he called after the adorable husky.Jax clearly liked his name because he instantly responded to it.He climbed up onto Vincent and tugged at the hem of his shirt.Vincent grabbed one of the chew toys and started to teach Jax how to fetch things.Then Jax came to me.I gave him a good belly rub and then played with his paws.

And that was just how our day went.It was just Vincent and I playing with Jax.And quite frankly I was perfectly fine with that until....
