Chapter 14 - Sophia

Ring, ring. Ring, ring.
It was my mom's phone. I answered the call.
"hello? Who is this? Okay, I'll give it to her." I ran upstairs,"mom! It's for you."
I said giving her the phone.
"thanks Sophia. Hello, oh hey Nick how are you? Are you okay, you sound sick? He's dead... No there's no way he...He...."my mom broke down crying. I ran to her so I could comfort her, even though I had no idea why she was crying. She picked up her phone and put it to her ear. She listened. Her face went white.
"They found us!?"she hung up the phone.
"Sophia, get your brother! Tell him the octopus heads found us!"my mom yelled running out the door.
"Who?" I yelled. Octopus heads? Who the heck was that? By my mothers tone I could tell she was serious. I ran to my brothers room.
"Steve, mom said the octopus heads found us and to get ready." I said to him. He stiffened as if the shirt pain ran through his back. He said three little words that explained it all.
"All hail hydra..." I turned and ran. Hydra was suppose to be dead! How did they find us? One thing was clear though. How did your hates Rogers, and it just so happens that were all Rogers.
I went to my room, I try but my hair and and suited up. I put my new wings on my back. Step two handguns and a knife to my legs. I ran up to see that my brother my mom were talking.
"Sophia! Come on we need to leave now!" My mom yelled at me.
I ran with my mom and my brother to the front door. My mom open the door in the front of the door was a man wearing all black. He had a knife in his hand.
I grabbed at my two hand guns.
My mom took a swing at the man's head. He blocked her and flipped her on the floor. He took out his knife and was about to stab her in the side with my brother shot him in the chest. The man went down. My mom looked out the door and ran right back in.
"Be prepared there's about 50 of them!"my mom yelled. Next thing we knew they were spilling in through the windows, falling through holes in the ceiling. Mia, my mom and my brother formed a triangle and opened fire.
I can't tell you much of what happened. All my years of training just kicked in. I was shooting people, flying back, and flipping people like there's no tomorrow. Everything was going good so far my brother was okay my mom... Where is she?
"Steve! Where's mom!"I Hilda him all shooting some guy in the head. He raised his wooden shield and threw it at some more people.
"What do you mean? I thought she was with you!" Yelled running towards me. But no everyone who attacked us was either dead or not cold out. Who wants there was silence.
"Mom where are you?"IL. Me and my brother looked around for her.
That's when I Saulet, there she was lying on the floor surrounded by dead bodies. She was barely breathing. There was a huge bullet hole in the side of her stomach and several scratches ran down her face.
"Mom..." Tears were running down my face.
"Did you find her Sophia?" His eyes landed on the slowly dying body. He ran straight towards. He looked down. No emotion was in his face, it was just pure shock. He said down and put two fingers to her neck check her pulse.
"She's still breathing. Hurry, Sophia get a glass of water and a rag!"he'll signaling for me to go. I ran to the kitchen, I grabbed a water bottle and a rag.
By the time I came back my brother had got his nursing tape out.
"Sophia, put some water on the rag and give it to me." I did a Steve told me. I handed him the wet rag.
He pulled up my mom's shirt just enough to see the bullet hole.
"Ew! That's so gross!" Hey else, you could see straight under her skin and in some places you could see bones.
"Sophia you might want to turn around."he said cautiously. I did as he said I turned around and didn't look back. I had a shark meal for my mom and turned around. My brother had removed as the bullet, it was proceeding to clean off her wound. I could finally see it, my moms stomach began to move up and down, her eyes jumping open.
"Mom! Are you okay? Oh my gosh, you just got shot. What do we do now?"I said leaning down towards her.
"Sophia, help me prop her up." We winter against the wall. Steve begin to wrap nursing tape around her waist. Then he proceeded to clean the scratches off her face. Slowly the color started coming back to my moms face.
"Mom, how do you feel?" My brother asked.
"Steve, Sophia, what are y'all still doing here? You need to leave!" She whispered quietly.
"We're not leaving without you." I said jumping in.
"look, I'm as good as dead. Will you still have time I need you to go to S.H.E.I.L.D. It's the only place where you guys will be safe." She said her voice slowly fading.
"Were not leaving without you." My brother said concerned.
"You will, and you have to. Once they find out there team didn't kill us they will send more troops. You need to leave while you still can!"my mom said shaking. She reached her hand into your pocket and brought out a small chip with the word S.H.E.I.L.D. on it. She handed it to Steve.
"go now. I'll be alright. I love you both, no go and save yourselves."my mom close your eyes and her breasts got slower and slower.
"Sophia did you hear that?" Steve gabbed his gun and looked around.he ran forward. There was a man at the other end of the room he was talking to a small mike. My brother shot the man.
"Sophia come on! He called in reinforcements! They will be here any minute!"Steve yelled running for the door. I look down at my mother one last time.
"Steve I'll be right back!"held running up the stairs. I ran to my parents room and reach under the bed, there is a box and wrapping paper with my name on it. From my mom and dad.
I looked up. I could hear helicopters coming our way, I grabbed the box and ran done the stairs to my brother who was waiting for me.
"Come on! I can hear them!" I went out of the house and use my wings and started to fly. Will my brother super speed it across the land. Tears are streaming down my face. Only place left for us to go was a the place called S.H.E.I.L.D. We will be safe there.
