Chapter 30 ~ Mallory

    We hadn't meant to scare him. Sophia just didn't know what she was doing. I frantically ran around looking for Jarvis. It killed me seeing him like this. It's not just the fact that he was apart of my team but I was developing feelings for him. And I freakin hated it, having a crush. Thing is I don't hate him...
  I followed his trail, which is just a bunch of random objects on fire. Surprised servants ran around trying there best to blow out the flames, some just making them bigger. The trail lead to the out doors. The path lead to a garden filled with various plants. It's beautiful here, I thought to myself. This is where the trial of fire ended. It's up to my instincts to find him now.
      A long ways off there was a small forest filled willed trees. If I was hiding from someone that's where I would go. I ran to the small forest. I could hear quite muffled sobs and knew it was him.
   It was him. He sat leaning against a tree, head buried in his knees. I quirky walked up behind him and put my hand on his shoulder. He pounced forward at my touch. Wheeling around to see it was me he yelled.
    "Don't come near me!" Jarvis yelled shaking.
    "It's okay it's just me-"
  "No! I'll just hurt you just like I did to them! And I don't want to hurt you Mallory..."
   "Jarvis it's okay-"
   "Wrong again! I am not okay! I'm a bloody monster! I can't control myself!" This actually made me laugh. I literally laughed out loud. He just stood there shaking with a look of confusion plastered across his fade.
   "You a monster? No, all you did was accidentally hurt two people. One was psychopath trying to kill you!" My voice turned up to a yell. "You want to talk about not being able to control yourself? Ha! I nearly whipped out a whole school after hulking up to face a school bully. I killed innocent children!" Tears began to form in my eyes. He still starred at me confused. I've been holding this in for to long.
    "They tried hiding it from me. Nick Fury, Agent Colson, my own father didn't tell me! I killed 500 innocent people when I hulked up! No one would even tell me that I was the reason they have the rest oh the world be living it's a terrorist attack! I am a terrorist attack! Do you still think your the real monster?!"
    "Well... No, but I can't hold it back there's too many emotions..." He cried. I walked closer to him staring straight into his eyes. I knew that same look in his eyes, filled with hurt and pain. It was the same look that was always in my eyes when ever I woke up from the green haze. 
    "Stop coming closer I don't want to hurt you!" Jarvis tried to back away but a tree behind him blocked him from backing up. His arms were turning a red color but it didn't scare me.
   "You can't hurt me, you'll just force the beast to wake up." I don't know why I did it. What emotion stirred in me to make me do it. I kissed him, and still am.
  My arms wrapped around his neck. I could feel the heat slowly leaving his body. Even his shivering stopped, he remained frozen. That's when I felt it he's kissing me back! His arms slowly began to wrap around my waist.
    When the kiss finally broke he looked shocked but happy... It was hard to read his emotions. I smiled, a big embarrassed but happy smile.
   "Your not a monster to me..." Are fingers intertwined and we walked in silence back into the building. We walked all the way back to his room.
   He was blushing bright red as he used the key to open the door. He turned around and smiled at me awkwardly.
   "I'm sorry I didn't mean to make things awkward." I said. He then did something I didn't expect. His normal shy personality would have never done it. He grabbed the collar of my shirt and pulled me in for another kiss. It was wonderful.
   He broke it off and quietly stepped back into his room.
  "I'll see you around." He said shyly. His face was still bright red as he shut the door. 
   I jumped up with pure joy. I ran all the way back outside and danced all around. I ran back to the small forest and fell to the ground giggling with pure glee.
   "So sweet." A chilling familiar voice said. It was her, the girl who put us on this petty mission in the first place. My eyebrows curved down and my lips turned into a tight line.
   "What you aren't happy to see me?" She scoffed.
    "What are you doing here?" I asked standing up.
    "Oh just spectating." She said innocently.
    "Spectating what?" I shot back. 
   "How you calmed the monster."
  "What? Do you mean Jarvis? He isn't a monster!" I said getting defensive.
    "I was just thinking. You might have calmed his monster, but who will calm yours?"
    "What's your point?"
   "I know some one like you. He can train you. He can help you control the green haze. But you'd have to come to my side of course."
   "No why would I ever join you!" I shouted.
    "I was afraid you might say that... To bad I would have have thought you might have wanted to met your brother." The tone of her voice sounded like she was sad and beaten, but that evil smirk gave her away. She knew she had me eating off the palm of her hand.
   "That's not possible..." I whispered.
   "Everything's possible. He can help you. He can teach you how to use your powers. To control them." She sounded like she genuinely wanted to help me. But it couldn't be true.
    How could I have a brother like me? How could this be? Bruce never told me... Then again he never tells me anything. He freakin disowned me. Everything he's ever done has been a secret from me I very well could have a secrete brother. I hate that man...
    "I see you need time to think. I will return and hopefully by then you will be ready to answer." With a swing of her septer, a click of her golden bracelets she vanished. Leaving me alone to drown in my thoughts...
