⭐️ CHAPTER 2: TATOONIE ⭐️

I was furious. I found out we were heading towards the planet of Tatoonie. I stomped towards the door, and it opened. I walked into the navigation room and saw everyone turn to me. Captain Panaka and another pilot shared a knowing look. If I was pissed, everyone knew.

"Ambassador?" I asked, holding back my angry tone as Qui-Gon turned to me. "May I speak with you for a moment?"

"Yes, you may." He said and I turned around. I walked out of the room with him following behind me. I stopped when we were far enough away from the navigation room and turned around to face him.

"Are you crazy?" I asked, letting my angry tone go. "Taking Queen Amidala and her handmaidens to Tatoonie?! You know what's on that planet!"

"Nefari—"

"If anyone finds out who she is, they'll turn her over to the Viceroy in two minutes flat!" I argued.

"Yes, I know." He said. "But they won't know it's her."

"It's too risky!" I said. "I have dedicated the rest of my life to protecting the Queen and her handmaidens. If something happened to them..." I shook my head, not being able to fathom what could happen to them.

"You care about them." He concluded.

"How can you become a part of someone's life and not care about them?" I asked.

"It's not something a Jedi should feel." He said.

"But you do." I said. He nodded.

"You always were good at finding weak spots in the rules, Nefari." He said.

"No." I said, shaking my head as a smile graced my face. "You just weren't good at hiding them from me." He chuckled.

"We miss you in the Jedi council." He said.

"Well, I was one of Master Yoda's favorites after all." I joked.

"Yes, well, I missed my favorite student too." He said.

"And I missed my favorite teacher." I said, smiling. But it soon faded as I got back to the conversation at hand. "You must promise me that they'll be safe."

"I promise you." He said, making me feel a bit better.

(Time Skip)

Turns out a droid saved our ship. I stood with the handmaidens at the Queen's side.

"An extremely well-put-together little droid, Your Highness." Captain Panaka said. "Without a doubt, it saved the ship, as well as our lives."

"It is to be commended." Queen Amidala said. "What is it's number?" The droid chirped and beeped as Captain Panaka checked.

"R2-D2, Your Highness." Captain Panaka answered.

"Thank you, R2-D2." Queen Amidala thanked. R2-D2 happily chirped. "Padme." Padme smiled at me and I nodded at her, before she walked to stand in front of the Queen. "Clean this droid up as best you can. It deserves our gratitude." R2-D2 whistled. "Continue, Captain." Panaka turned to Qui-Gon.
