23: Husband or P.A?

"What!" Mr.Lee exclaimed as all the Lee family members were surprised by Minho's confession. "What is this boy up to? Calling his husband his Personal Assistant!?"

"Sir, if he was your Assistant then why were you both looking and acting like lovers?" Another journalist asked and all of them waited for his response.

"What is he going to do now?" Mrs.Han exclaimed while Jisung stayed mute, still shocked by Minho's exclaim, but he knew one thing.

Minho was trying to keep his identity and their marriage a secret. As per his promise.

Deep inside, Jisung knows that he is feeling delighted with Minho's words, but he won't tell it in front of his old man.

His old man? Jisung come out of your stupid thoughts!

"We both came to Pattaya to buy a new plot for expanding my business there. Here are the reports." Minho gestured to his manager to show it and they presented it in front of the media.

"The report shows that you both have been there for three days, care to explain about that Mr.Minho?" The reporter who talked at the beginning of the interview asked.

Minho took a deep breath and kept a professional smile." My assistant wasn't feeling good so we extended the return date, but he started feeling okay after a few hours. When I insisted on going back, he didn't want the money to go to waste." Minho titled his head, "Therefore we decided to hang out as friends."

"We came to know that you booked the flying boards under the term couple." A man stood up asking loudly with a smirk. Minho knew it was one of the paparazzi.

Shit. Jisung thought, getting worried and nervous all of a sudden.

"Well if you don't know, 'couple' is the only term for two individuals and it can be used upon any two people at any phase of a relationship. You can search what it means when it comes to flyboards," He replied strongly.

"Also this discussion now started circulating to my assistant and I don't like to disclose anything related to him because it's their private matter, so you should ask about the scandal instead of private topics." His voice was harsh and cold which made everyone stunned making the journalists nervous.

His voice reminded them who he was in Korea.

The man slowly sat down as Minho continued, "I would like to report this to you guys just because I'm an actor, it doesn't make me any less of a human. So respect my privacy otherwise," He paused and stared straight at the man who looked down, avoiding eye contact.

"Seems like we got our answers. Does anybody have any more questions?" Nobody dared to ask him any questions which made the actor feel satisfied.

The interviewer glanced over at the crew members and they showed an okay sign, " Okay so we are ending..." Jisung turned off the TV, stumbling his figure against the sofa.

"Jisung, why did you turn off the TV?" His mother asked, glancing over at his stumbled figure.

"The important event is over." He shrugged then glanced over at her," What? You wanna see the end credits?" Mrs.Han let out an exaggerated sigh as she shook her head in disbelief.

"It's hard to understand what goes inside young people's minds these days." She stood up and then glanced over at the TV.

"I don't know why he did that."

I know.

"I hope it doesn't create more problems."

This is for the better. Jisung thought watching her leave the hall. His thoughts were intercepted by his phone ringing. It was Hyunjin and he kind of knew what was going to happen.

"Jisung what the hell is wrong with Minho Hyung!?"

And he was right.

"I guess I know what it is." Jisung  sighed glancing over at his mother," He must be keeping the marriage a secret as I asked him to." He felt a sort of pressure upon his words like the mere mention of their marriage brought him an unsettling feeling.

"Aww, that's so cute!"

"How come?" Jisung heard Hyunjin letting out an exaggerated sigh.

"Jisung! If he wanted to expose the marriage to save his face he could have done it, but instead, he tried to protect your identity. Isn't that romantic!?" Jisung rolled his eyes.

"Damn, Hyunjin! Stop watching dramas, will you? That zucchini knows that if he reveals about our marriage, he will have to face me."

"I won't! Bleh!" Hyunjin said, "But seriously, Jisung? Don't you think if he wanted he would have revealed it long ago? Also, are you hearing yourself Jisung?" Both the friends stayed mute knowing who was right.

Hyunjin respected Jisung's decision, but as a best friend, he was responsible for showing what was right and wrong.

For Jisung, he knows that Hyunjin is right, but he can't seem to accept the feelings that are evolving around him; confusing him to the core.

"Hannie," Hyunjin spoke out, softly, "I know why you are hesitating." Jisung looked down at his clenched fists placed over his lap. He then glanced at his mother once again and saw her having a mini-concert in the kitchen which made him let out a chuckle.

"I'm glad you know."

"But, Hannie. Not all relationships end like that." Hyunjin exclaimed, "Some relationships take time, and others don't work out clearly. Both parties have to work out to improve their relationship." Hyunjin added.

"Yeah, I guess? But aren't relationships meant to end anyway?" Jisung exclaimed. "Look Hyunjin. You do know that I don't have any interest when it comes to committing to a person. I can't do such things."

"Hannie, I am not saying that you have to, but at least can't you give it a try?"

"And what?" Jisung started getting irritated, "End up like my parents? End up like my aunt and uncle? No thanks, bestie. It's better to stay alone than committing."

"Han..."

"Look, Hyunjin. I can't carry off more burdens than I have. If you think Minho and I could make it then you are wrong because we both have different interests,"

Because now I feel like marrying you was wrong!

Jisung closed his eyes, " I will call you later." He spoke out, dismissing the call, not giving Hyunjin the time to think. He then scrolled through the social media, all the articles were surrounded by Minho's recent interview.

"Personal Assistant huh?" Jisung read out the word, smirking. "Looks like I got a very interesting job." He chuckled, an evil plan circulating in his head.
