32: Jisung's past

Minho fell into complete silence upon hearing Jisung's unexpected question. He doesn't know how to react to it or how to give a reaction.

"Have you?" Jisung questioned again, waiting for Minho's answer. Minho can't think of anything, but as time passed by little by little he started feeling something like the atmosphere turning tense or something gloomy. He couldn't word it out.

"No, I have never." Minho said softly, like he was talking to a baby who was on the verge of crying.

"I see," Jisung nodded to himself and let out a sigh which ringed as a broken tune in Minho's ears.

"But you can share it with me." Jisung looked up and saw Minho looking at him with a reassuring smile, but in his drunk state he felt like the latter was mocking him.

"No thanks," Jisung said, looking down at the ground, "You are a stranger."

"I am not any stranger." Minho replied immediately, grabbing Jisung's attention," I am your husband, Jisung. You may not remember, but we got married lawfully."

"You are?" Minho nodded, " But why do I feel pain here?" Jisung asked, grabbing Minho's hands and placing them above Jisung's chest where the heart was,

"Then why do I feel like something is tightening around here?" He asked again, sounding desperate.

Minho felt guilt eating him up. In all his life, he has never once felt the need to apologise to someone for his actions. He always felt superior of himself and his actions that he never once acknowledged anyone's feelings, all he thought was it was their duty to please him without any dilemma.

And now knowing the reason that it was him who made Jisung - the person he cares for - to feel pain made him feel like a jerk. Jisung's tear filled eyes made Minho feel like hugging him, but he controlled himself.

Because there were few things that he wanted to hear from Jisung's  side.

"That's because you forget our memory, now you are trying to remember it, that's why you feel pain." Jisung blinked his eyes like an innocent kid, pouting.

"That's not good. Bad bad heart." He explained and oh boy Minho was a goner.

Drunk Jisung was more adorable than the sober Jisung.

"I wanna drink~" Jisung suddenly shouted startling Minho .

"Han, don't shout. People are sleeping." Jisung started whining.

"But I wanna drink. You didn't even give me boneless ice. You are dumb and meanie." Minho awkwardly laughed.

"Han… okay. I am dumb so can you tell me what boneless ice is?" Jisung gasped and pointed a finger at the awkward Minho.

"You don't know what boneless ice is!?" Jisung shook his head like he was disappointed by Minho's lack of knowledge and Minho felt like a kid interrogated by a mother for getting
straight Fs on all his subjects.

"Okay so listen carefully." Minho nodded, " A boneless ice is something tasteless and odourless. You know everyone drinks it."

Tasteless.... Everyone drinks... Minho paused his train of thoughts and looked at Jisung, bewildered. "Did you perhaps mean water?"

"Exactly!" Jisung cheered, feeling proud while Minho felt like banging his head over the wall.

"Oh god." Minho mumbled, taking a deep breath to calm himself down. He felt like running towards the window and screaming loudly so the whole world would hear about his helpless self.

Jisung giggled, " You're not that dumb." He said, patting Minho's shoulders.

"Yeah..." Minho said, helplessly.

"Bring me outside." Minho mentally started screaming at Jisung's  mood swings.

"Now? But it's cold outside."

"I don't care. Bring me outside or I will scream." Jisung threatened, making Minho feel like he was standing on the edge of a cliff.
_______

"It's cold." Jisung said while covering himself with the blanket that Minho draped around him to avoid catching cold.

"I told you." Said Minho, looking at the shivering male, "Let's go inside then."

"No!" Jisung whined, "I don't wanna."

"Okay, okay. We aren't going anywhere." Minho said as he made Jisung to sit on the bench that they have in the backyard of the house. Minho  glanced at the area and a small smile crept over his lips as the memories from his childhood started getting in his mind.

The Lee family used to have weekend picnics in the backyard therefore they constructed it in a way where the three siblings could enjoy their time.

Sadly, as they grew up, they went apart, especially the two older men. Less time for family. Less time for a weekend picnic.

Even though the family was a happy household, Minho would admit the fact that the happiness they had in his childhood was a void memory now.

Minho blinked his eyes when he felt a weight over his shoulders and he looked down to see Jisung head placed over his shoulder.

"Cold." Jisung mumbled. Minho tapped Jisung's head making him look up, confused.

"Open your blanket." Confused by Minho 's question, Jisung opened the blanket that was covering him.

Minho grabbed the one end of the blanket and got inside. He then grabbed the other end and wrapped the blanket around them.

Now both of them were sharing one blanket.

Minho pulled Jisung closely and made the younger to lay his head over Minho's chest.

"Better?" Minho felt Jisung nodding which made him grin as he put his chin above Jisung's fluffy hair.

"I'm feeling sad now." Minho frowned as he rubbed Jisung's back.

"Why?" He asked, gently.

"I am remembering things that I don't wanna remember." Minho moved away and saw Jisung's  lips trembling but not because of the cold and it was evident by the way his eyes got teary, voice cracking with immense emotions.

"Hey." Minho called out softly and that was Jisung's  last straw from suppressing all his emotions. He burst into loud cries as tears streamed down from his face.

"I can't take it." Jisung looked up at Minho and cried even more.

"Please take it away. It hurts."
