They twins have been prepared for the Tribute Parade. Finnic came over to us again this year. "Well well well. You broke my record." Finnic chuckles. "Well, your tributes didn't put up much of a fight." I laugh. "You were ruthless also." He laughs. "True." I say. Haymitch comes over with another mentor, who from the looks of him was from 11, and introduces us. "Lilly, this is Chaff. He is a District 11 mentor. Chaff, this is Lilly." Haymitch says. Finnic leaves because he needed to attend to his tributes. I shake Chaff's hand. Well, the one he had, he didn't have a left arm. We talked for a bit till he had to get to the District 11 chariot. The anthem starts up and the twins are on the chariot. As the tributes ride through the streets Haymitch and I walk around trying to hype our tributes up to the Capital citizens. President Snow does his speech and Haymitch and I meet the twins in the training center. They will begin training tomorrow.

The twins have been in training all morning and all the tributes and mentors go eat lunch. The mentors sit at one table and the tributes all sit around that table, in district order. I sit in between Haymitch and Chaff. I am the smallest mentor, and everyone, including some tributes, tower over me making me seem smaller than I am. "Hey District 12! Does your mentor need a high chair to sit at the table?!" A boy from District 1 shouts. I feel anger boil inside me wanting to get up and tell him off, but I don't, just yet. "Ya! She's so young that she just won because the other tributes thought she was too young to be in the games!" The girl from 1 shouts. That was the last straw. I stand up and stomp over to the District 1 tributes. "You think I'm too young to be a victor?" I say angrily. "Ya. Cause you are." The boy spits back. "You don't know what the hell you are going into. Because I do. I know what it's like to go into the games. I am lucky because I survived. I can't say the same for the other children that died in my games, but I can speak for myself when I say; you need to watch your mouth!" I spit. "Oh really? Cause I would think you should be back in 12, at school." The girl says. I feel a rush of anger and want to do more but I decided to just walk away, be the bigger person. As I walk away the boy from 1 throws a bread roll at me. I put my hand up and catch the bread before it can hit me. "Thanks for the bread." I say walking back to my seat. "Chaff, I think we need to tie her down with a belt." Haymitch laughs as Chaff removes his belt and hands it to Haymitch. "What?! I was just saying that he needs to watch his mouth." I say as Haymitch uses the belt to tie me to my chair. "I know but it's just funny, I was about to do the same thing." Haymitch laughs. The rest of lunch was quieter. After we eat Haymitch unties me and hands the belt back to Chaff. "Thanks Chaff." He says with a laugh. The tributes go back to training.

It's the final day of training and they have their private thing. We watch the TV to see what scores the twins get. "Male from District 12, score of: 8." Plutark says on screen. "Last but not least, female from District 12, score of: 8." Plutark says. The twins got the same score. The interviews are tomorrow, I will help Haymitch teach them how to talk and respond to questions.

"Ok Emma, you are a lot like me. Young, smart, fast. And Eric, you are strong, athletic, resourceful. You can give the audience a sob story that 'you want to grow up with your twin and you can't bear the thought of killing them' and sympathy can get you somewhere." I say. "You can pull heartstrings and maybe you can get people to sponsor you." Haymitch adds. "Like I said though, we want to die in the games." Emma says. "I know, but you can't let them know." I say. Effie comes in and tells us the twins have to get ready. Haymitch and I have to get ready too.

Haymitch and I are dressed in semi-identical suits, mine is smaller and a lighter color, with the District 12 emblem on it. The twins are dressed in similar outfits also, Emma is wearing a purple and black dress while Eric is in a purple and black suit. Emma is called onto the stage for her interview. I stand in the crowd and try to encourage her. After a little she looks at me worried. I give her a look like Haymitch did for me telling her to egg it on and she does. The bell sounds and Eric is called up. Eric does his interview and we go to bed, they have the games tomorrow.

(Time Skip)

Haymitch and I sit in a control room and watch as all 24 tributes rise up. The arena is a field with tall grass. The gong sounds and the tributes, except the twins, run towards the cornucopia. The twins run away stopping in a clearing. "What are you two doing?!" I mutter at the screen. I look around the twins and see a berry bush. I recognise the berries, nightlock, deadly. Eric walks over to the nightlock patch and grabs 2 handfuls of the toxic berries. "They're going to eat the nightlock!" I cry. "They can't do that. Can they?" Haymitch adds. I want to stop them, but I can't, all I can do is watch as the people I once called my friends kill themselves. They put the nightlock in their mouths and eat it. "NO!" I say reaching for the screen, but I can't do anything. The cameras move to the bloodbath. The fighting has stopped and the cannons sound. 8 in total, I personally knew 2. A tear rolls down my face. "No. No. No." I say wanting to reach through the screen and bring them back. "Lilly, I got you." Haymitch says putting an arm around me. We now have to go back to District 12. I know all the kids, the twins' parents, will hate me for letting them eat the berries, even though they know I could not do anything.
