We travel from District to District and make it to the Capital. Haymitch and I dance together, just like last time. "Your face looks better." Haymitch chuckles. "Ya, it hurt like hell when it happened though." I laugh. "I can't believe you are almost 18. I remember when I first saw you, a short little 12 year old that had a shot at winning the games." He laughs. "And now I'll be a short adult, that has won the games." I smile. I had only grown about 3 inches from when I won the games to now. The party finishes and we go back to the train. We are off to District 12.

Distinct 12 had our little party for Katniss and Peeta. Tomorrow is my birthday. Haymitch and I are sitting at his house. I decided to help him clean up, his house is a mess, when Katness walks in. "Lilly, I need some help." She says. "What's up?" I say looking up from the dishes I was cleaning. "Things with the Capital and Peeta are going crazy." She says. "I can't help you with boy trouble, sorry." I laugh. "I thought you have dated boys before?" She says. "No, I have never dated before. Even if I did Haymitch would have scared them away." I laugh. "That's right!" Haymitch calls out, he is dealing with the laundry, cousing Katniss and I to laugh. "But, all I can say is; just roll with the punches. You get hurt, hurt them back. You die, thats on you." I shrug. "Well, that's helpful!" Katniss says walking out and throwing her hands up. Haymitch and I finish cleaning and I go home. I flop onto my couch and turn on the TV, it's all just re-runs of the games. I sigh as I watch the games that are playing, I think it's the 70th, were Joanna Mason won. She is from district 7, lumber. I watch as the games go on. I remember meeting her on her victory tour and during the games. She was small, she came out as week but when it got to the last few she turned out to be a heartless killer. The re-run ends and I head up to bed. I fall asleep and it is a restfull one.

I wake up to see Peeta hovering over my face. I instinctively throw my hand up and hit him square on the nose. "OW! Lilly, that hurt!" He says holding his nose. "Sorry Peeta, it's a habit." I appologise. "I mean, at least it wasn't the knife I sleep with under my pillow." I laugh. "A what?!?!" He says. "I sleep with a knife." I say getting out of bed. I slept with the clothes I had on yesterday so I don't go and get dressed. "Happy Birthday!" Peeta says anyway. "Thank you Peeta." I laugh, he does this every year. I would go to the bakery and get a small cake for Haymitch and me to share. "I got you something!" He says handing me a box. "Peeta, you really didn't have to." I say. "Just open it!" He says. I open the box to see a small locket with an intricate butterfly pattern on it. I hold the locket and open it to see 4 panels. One has a picture of Haymitch and me, another has a picture of Katniss and her family, the third has a picture of Peeta, and the last one has an old picture of my family. It has my mother, father, brother, and what looks to be me as a baby. "W-where did you get this picture?" I ask staring at the picture of my family. "My father had it. He was friends with your father when they were younger. Your brother gave it to my father. Apparently it was taken a few months after you were born." Peeta says with a smile. "It's beautiful, thank you Peeta." I say hugging him. "Of cource Lilly. You're my friend." He says hugging back. We go downstairs were Haymitch and Katniss are waiting. "Happy birthday, my kid!" Haymitch says getting up and hugging me. I hug him back and smile. We let go and sit on the couch. "You know you guys don't have to do this." I say. "You're our friend. You do the same thing for us on our birthdays. And 18 is a big birthday." Katniss says. "You don't know. You're only 16." I laugh. "True. But, from what I know, it is a big age for someone. And you know how it is here. Not many people make it to that age." She laughs. "And, you are an adult finaly. You can do whatever." Haymitch chuckles. "I mean, I have been doing whatever since I was 12 and I won the games, but that's besides the point." I smile. We have a small party, just the 4 of us. Peeta had made us a cake, plain vanilla; just like every year. We eat and play around until Haymitch gives me a small box and just smiles. He has given me a small gift each year, usually just like some sweets, or a small bracelet. I open the box to see a ring. I pull the ring out of the box, it has an inscription on it. It says: I got you Sweetheart ♡. I smile a big smile and hug him tightly. "Thank you dad." I say hugging him. "I love you Lilly." He says hugging me back. I put the ring on and smile. I always wear the bracelets he gives me and my mothers neckless. "I love you too Haymitch." I say. This man has become a dad to me. He cares about me when there is no one else. He might as well be my dad. We continue to have fun untill it gets late. Everyone goes home, one of the good things about being a victor is we all live next to each other, and I close my door. I could get use to this. I have made my own family.
