Sage's POV:
-1 week later-
"SAGEEEEE!! It's your birthday!! Get up!! Get uppppp!!" Kara shouts, jumping on top of me. I laugh and get up. We go downstairs.
Momma's there, Momma Mollie, Adrianna, Maven, April, Poppy, Cole, Alex, some girl I've never seen before, and Adrian.
"Happy birthday!!" They all say. They pop confetti. I laugh.
"Awww!! Guys! I'm gonna cry!" I say, smiling. Momma hugs me.
"We had to do something special for my girls 18th! You're an adult!" She says. I smile and sit down at the island.
"I wanna get a tattoo." She sighs.
"Oh, Jesus Christ," she mutters.
"Marching! With you! But also a stupid one. And one with Mae! Right, Maven?"
"Right!! I've been waiting for this!!" Mae says. I nod.
"Sure." I nod.
"I already have a stick and poke, mom," I say. She tilts her head, and I grin as Cole lights my candles.
"Can't get mad at me now! I'm an adult!" I say, grinning. They sing happy birthday to me, and I blow out my candles. Kara kisses my nose.
"I don't really like happy couples," April says.
"Who are you?" I ask, looking at the girl I've never seen before. She's really pretty, though. Dark brown hair and matching eyes.
"Phoebe. I was stationed with your mom." She chuckles.
"You said your mom. I know about you! You stole my mom while she was away!"
"I'm so sorry. She's yours now. I promise."
"That's okay I like you. She said you reminded her of me. So we'll get along, Phoebs," I say. She smiles.
"Okay! Presents!" I say, turning back around. I love spinny stools.
"Hmmm.. eenie meenie miney.. moe." I grab the purple bag.
"Okay let's see. Who's is this?" I pull out the note. Kara.
"Bitch no way you're blushing from a name on a card," Alex says.
"Alexander shut up!" The rest get behind the island. Kara sets up a camera in front of me.
"The last time you set up a camera you asked me out, Kara. I'm gonna be a very happy lady, aren't I?"
"You may cry." I gasp and open it.
To my baby,
We've known each other our whole lives without each other knowing it.
And honestly, on my end, that shit was TORTURE.
I grin.
Okay, well, they may be a lie. It was way worse on your end because I never talked. So.
I giggle.
"True that, it was way worse on my end."
Don't find me weird, but I used to stalk allll of your social medias. I found your baby pictures from your mom's facebook. And I used to imagine being able to grow up with you.
And say that I grew up with you and actually knew you.
I laugh again and look up at her.
"I tried. Your parents kept all their shit on private so I couldn't." She laughs.
