Chapter 9

Hey guys... I'm really sorry for not mentioning about kurama....
He's actually dead.. because he's the one who sent Naomi back to the past using his final chakra....
Like how he sacrifice himself for Naruto in Boruto....

Naomi POV

So today I'm hanging out with Naruto and Sasuke. It was usually the five of us but Itachi and Shisui were currently busy with their mission. Aunty is also busy right now, so that's why Sasuke came along.

"Naomi nee-san, what are we going to do today?" ask Sasuke. I smile at him, "Well, we train first until lunch break. After that, we can go have some fun with whatever you both want to do. And at dinner, we will be at your house, Sasuke." I said. Sasuke nodded at my plan. "Then what are we waiting for? Let's go, dattebayo!" Naruto said. Sasuke and Naruto then started a competition on who arrive first at the training ground is the fastest. I chuckle at their behavior. We arrive and I told both of them to stretch first. I then told both of them to spar with each other while I set up an obstacle for them to train. I always train Naruto and Sasuke using obstacles or spar because anything can happen and I want them both to be strong enough to protect each other and their own themselves. I watched them finishing their spar before they start to go through my obstacle. I would advice and correct their mistake once in a while. I also start practicing new jutsus. Afternoon then came and the boys stomach began to growl. I stop their training and told them to pack their stuff so that we can eat. After that, I opened our lunchbox. Today I made some sandwiches 🥪, dumplings 🥟, soup 🍲 and salad 🥗. I gave them chopsticks 🥢. We all began to eat but Naruto start to complain, "Naomi nee-san, why do I have to eat salad... It's not tasty at all! Please don't let me eat it. Please, please!" I then scolded Naruto, "Naru, you should be grateful to have food. I know that it's not tasty for you, but try eating it with the dumpling and it might taste good." He then begged me, "But.... I don't want it!" I scolded him again, "Naruto, you shouldn't say that. Please be grateful of the food your given. Don't you know that some people who are poor can't even have a chance to eat this. They had to eat trash or even others leftovers...." I said sadly.  He then began to feel guilty when I said that. "You dobe, just eat it. Naomi nee-san work hard to prepare this just for us you know." Sasuke said. Naruto nodded before apologizing to me, "I'm sorry Naomi nee-san.... I didn't mean to be selfish...." I smile at him and accept his apologies. We then continue to eat.

After eating, I ask them what they wanted to do. "Ummm, I think we should search for cats. If nee-san is ok with it that is." Sasuke said. I smile at him,"Of course, I don't mind. Are you ok with that Naru?" I reply. Naruto nodded excitedly and we began to search. After that, we went to the Uchihas because it was getting dark. Uncle and aunty said that they won't be coming back until Friday. So me and Naruto stayed at the Uchihas to take care of Sasuke. I began to cook for the boys. I then heard a knock, "We'll get it." said both boys. I continue cooking.

Sasuke POV

Me and the dobe open the door and it reveal nii-san and Shisui-san. "Nii-san, your back!" I said. He then ruffle my hair and enter the living room with Shisui-san. Me and dobe follow them and sat on the sofa. "Where is Naomi?" Shisui-san ask. "Nee-san is making dinner." Dobe replied. We then hear Naomi nee-san call us, "Boys, can you help me set the table?" We both then reply to her, "Ok Naomi nee-san!"

Naomi POV

The boys finished setting the table and I start to put dinner 🍽️ on the table. I made delicious curry with rice 🍛, ramen 🍜 and for dessert pudding 🍮 and dango 🍡. Sasuke and Naruto sat down and I see Itachi and Shisui come to the table as well. "Oh you guys are back. Welcome." I said. Shisui then started to giggle like a girl making me confused. "What?" I ask. Shisui then grin, "You are like a mom, Naomi." Shisui reply. I turned red before glaring at him, "Hey! I'm just taking care of you guys, dattebane! It doesn't mean I'm like a mom!" I yell at him. Shisui then hummed, "Sureeee." Itachi stop us from starting a fight and we all began to eat.

After dinner, Shisui went home and Sasuke, Naruto went to bed. I was at the yard admiring the night 🌃. I then feel someone sit next to me. I turn and saw Itachi, admiring the stars. I noticed that his complexion wasn't good. "Itachi.... You ok? You don't look well." I ask him gently. He then turn to me slowly showing me his tired face, "It's nothing, Naomi. I just had a bad day.... That's all." I then gave him a pointed look, "You know I'm not believing that right? Come on, tell me. If you don't let it all out. It'll make it worse for you, Itachi." I said. He sighed heavily, looking at the night sky, "Actually.... Today my team and I went on a mission. It was going well, nothing unusual... Until....."

"Until?"

"Until some guy with a mask appeared in front of us...."

My breath hitched, I know who that had to be....

Itachi continued, "He told us something about making peace and all before one of my teammates try attacking him. And we began to fought the masked man. But he was too strong and ... Something happened....."

"Go on...." I said slowly.

He tremble a bit before saying, "The masked man.... killed my teammate."

I widen my eyes at the information I'm getting. "And I suddenly felt like time become slow and the masked man suddenly laugh making me confused and scared. He then said, 'You finally achieve the sharingan.' I look shocked before I look at a puddle. And realizing it was true... The masked man then disappear, leaving me with my one teammate who was still alive, and the one who died.... My teammate who was alive then said she wanted to quit.... And the hokage told me I might go into another team or enter the anbu corps....." Itachi said.

I sit there processing everything. 'So all this time.... Obito was the one who made Itachi enter the anbu corps.... So that the Uchihas might feel like they have a powerful shinobi in their hands.... That made them confident to the point of wanting to start a coup.... Your really cruel at this time Obito...' I thought to myself.

"Naomi?"

I break my thoughts, "Huh? Oh yes Itachi?" I ask.

"Are you ok?" He ask me worried.

I smile sadly at him, "I'm ok, but are ok? With everything that happened to you today...." I ask him.

"I'm... fine I guess." He said hesitantly.

I then hugged Itachi making him flinch, suprised by the hug. "Naomi?"

"Itachi.... Please let it out..." I softly said to him.

He looked confused, "Whatever do you mean? I'm fine." He said.

I shake my head still hugging him, "Itachi... If you don't let it all out. Your condition might get worse... Please don't pretend to be oblivious. If you don't cry, you might just break yourself.... And I don't want that. Itachi, I know you have to carry a big burden and I know you don't want to tell me because you don't want to trouble me.... But, at least let me be someone who you can share your burden with and someone that can make you release all your stress.... I don't want to see you doubting yourself or stressing yourself more than this... I beg you, Itachi. Please?" I begged him.

He started to tremble slightly before I feel my shoulders wet. I knew he was crying. I let him cry, I let him scream, I let him tell me everything he wants to tell me to make him feel better and I rubbed circles on his back to soothe him.

'Seriously, I didn't think his burden was so heavy.... Even though some might say I've been through worse. But he is going through pain emotionally everytime, just because he is a prodigy, an heir and an older brother who have to take care of his family, and had to choose between his precious clan and his beloved village. He was even willing to sacrifice himself just for the sake of his loved ones. He really is a true shinobi.' I thought to myself.

That night, we both slept together at the sofa until morning.
