A gentle snow was falling from the ceiling, though it wasn't exactly snow. Just condensed frozen water by the roof of the underground that fell when it was cold and humid enough. It blanketed the ground and drifted faintly down to the floor. A small slab of stone was standing in the snow, the word "Papyrus" scrawled across it with most likely another rock.

A figure sat in front of the makeshift headstone, dressed in all black and sitting on their knees. The glowing blue dots across their face gave the figure's identity away as Shadow, though the light produced by the dots was significantly dimmer than usual. His face was tilted toward the ground and a single white flower was loosely held in his hand.

"I miss you." He said quietly, his voice breaking at the last word. A tear trickled down his cheek and onto the snow. "It's all my f-fault."

Another figure appeared, dressed in similarly dark clothing. They didn't say anything, but walked and sat next to Shadow on the ground.

"I'm sorry, Shadow." He said. "I know I don't know what you're going through, but...I'm here."

"That's enough." Shadow said, squeezing Thunder's hand, which was now in his own. "I...can't say haven't thought about joining him. But...I don't know..." Shadow trailed off.

"It's not what he would've wanted." Thunder finished.

"Y-yeah."

SANS! WHAT ARE YOU DOING, SLEEPING AT YOUR STATION AGAIN?

"He was a good kid." Shadow said, the faintest smile appearing on his face with the remembrance of those old memories.

You join us, or DIE, punk!

N-NO! UNDYNE, THIS IS WRONG!

What was that, you stupid kid!?

"I-It's just...it's all my fault. My fault he...my fault he's gone."

"Don't say that. If you...tried to intervene or...or fight them, you could've died as well. Papyrus wouldn't want you to die for him. He wouldn't want you to die at all."

"I...I guess...I just...I...maybe if I just tried...I...could've saved him..."

"No, Shadow listen. You were just a kid. It isn't your fault. You couldn't have fought against Undyne that young. You would've died. I'm...really sorry for what's happened to you. I'm not saying forget what happened, but just...let it be. You can't go back in time and change things. Don't let it control you."

"I...yeah. Okay. I...I'll try."

"I'm gonna give you a second." thunder said, kissing Shadow's cheek quickly and standing up. "Come back...when you're ready."

"Alright. Thank you." Shadow said. Thunder nodded and walked away. Shadow sighed, glancing at the flower in his hand. "I...I miss you. I do. I..." He raised the flower to his face, and whispered into it, "I'm sorry. I love you." and placed it on top of the stone.

The next day, Shadow and Thunder returned to the grave again. Just a tradition. Shadow hesitantly touched the petals of the flower gently, and it repeated, in Papyrus's voice, "I FORGIVE YOU. I LOVE YOU TOO."
