Love In The Dark - Re Writing!

Returning

The second I stepped on the ground of Kings landing I could feel a chill, I knew something was going to go wrong while we were here and I was already counting the hours until we sailed home.

"Jacaerys, what do you think our uncles are like now?" I asked whilst walking by his side.

"Probably still annoying thinking they own everyone." He answered. The last time we saw each other Luke had blinded the young boy Aemond in his left eye.

I'm not excited to see those boys or their mother. I practically dream of suffocating Alicent with her own uterus. She killed my father, Ser Harwin Strong. I picked up on the clues that I was a bastard when I was quite young, I was confused but I wasn't upset. Ser Harwin was a good kind man and the second he got sent back to his home he and his father were set aflame in their own rooms. Suspicious. I know it was Alicent, I just know it.

"Rhane how do you feel being back here?" My mother asked me as she walked up to me putting her hand on my back.

"I don't like it. I am, however, excited to see your father." I said

"Rhane please quit it with that stuff, he is your grandsire." She looked down at me as we were walking.

"I know I just don't like the way grandsire sounds. It doesn't roll off the tongue." I smile as we reach the castle doors.

We step into the castle and people start whispering and staring at me, my brothers, and my parents. So I stare back. People whisper about me and my mother wearing black and red dresses. I will do anything to bother the Queen, even if it means wearing annoyingly heavy dresses that make me sweat like a mad man.

Our parents send us off so they can speak to Viserys. I grab Luke and Jace's hands and pull them with me while exploring the place we once called home. It had changed so much. We reached the courtyard where two men were fighting. Jace and Luke go looking at the swords on display whilst I go see what's so interesting about these two fighting.

Once I reach the front of the crowd I notice that one of the men has long white hair and an eyepatch. Aemond, I think to myself. My head turns to the side as I watch the men battle. Aemond turns his head for a second and catches my eyes. A slight smirk appears on his face as he 'finishes off' the man he is fighting.

"Nephews." I hear Aemond say as he's looking to the right of me, I turn to see Jace and Luke staring at him.

"Have you come to train?" He says smiling at them.

After the little show Aemond had put on we walked back inside and found my mother and Daemon, they both have sad looks on their faces.

"Is everything alright?" I ask to go up.

"Everything is fine." mother says with a very fake and faint smile. I look at Daemon and he just shakes his head.

It reaches nightfall and everyone is heading to their chambers. I lie on my bed restless, I can't seem to fall asleep. I get up and throw a blanket around my shoulders and open up the door.

"Princess, where are you going?" the knight asks

"Just for a walk" I answer leaving before he can voice his opinion on it.

As I'm walking through the halls I hear something behind me, I see Aemond leaning against a pillar watching me.

"What do you want?" I ask him.

"You know it's dangerous to be walking the palace at night." he states with a smirk on his face

"If only I cared." I say and then continue to walk. But I hear him walking behind me.

"Will you stop it? I'm not some weak girl, I know how to take care of myself." I say giving him a stern look.

He looks me up and down, "I'm not worried for you. My chambers are this way." He says with that same stupidly annoying smirk.

"Oh." I look past him and see the knight guarding my room has been following me. "Okay, well. Goodnight then uncle." I say without looking at him rushing back to my room.

That was so embarrassing. But I don't care what he thinks of me. I will carry on as usual tomorrow.

I close my eyes and let sleep consume me. But his smirk stays in my thoughts as I dream.

Okay so this was supposed to come out yesterday but I was busy with classes lol. Chapter two will come out tomorrow night  and then I'll just keep writing hopefully publishing like four to five chapters a week. Bye!! Thank you for reading... I love you all!
