He starts some hot coco In the back, poring out two mugs of the steaming liquid and adding the little white marshmallows he knew made his husband smile. He walks out with the mugs and sets one in front of his angel, which earns him a 'thank you' and a kiss on the cheek before he retired to his reading. Crowley then looks over at the girl again, completely engulfed by her book. He does a quick miracle, putting in his arms a small blanket and a bookmark, and walks over to the window. He sets the Coco down by her, and she looks up at him, looking away from her book for the first time in the past hour. She seems a little confused of what's happening at first, and looks up apologetically at the demon and starts to mutter out an apology. Crowley just spreads the blanket over her, and simply tells her that she can stay as long as shed like.
"Oh-h.. Ok, um- thank you" she mutters out quietly, pulling the blanket a little closer to her to gain its warmth. She looks so happy, looking up at the demon, now already walking away. She goes back to her reading for the next hour or so, still a little confused at the sudden gesture, but extremely touched nonetheless. Her coco is gone quickly, finishing up four mugs, and being brought refills by Crowley wordlessly. Each though, was met with a quiet, slightly astonished 'thank you' from the girl, a polite habit she had that should annoy him, but of course just made him smile, knowing his angel would be absolutely deligted. When she gets up to leave a while later, she folds up the blanket and sets it on the window sill. She walks over to the counter, and returns the now 5 empty mugs to where Crowley is napping on Aziraphiel's shoulder. Aziraphale, having been watching her and his husband's encounters though the evening, has become incredibly fond of the girl. He smiles at her, setting down his book and picking up a plethora of empty mugs in one hand.
"Thank you dear" he says, preening at the way she smiles at him.
"Um... Would you mind thanking him for me when he gets up, please?" She says even quieter than usual, making sure not to wake the sleeping demon. She turns to look down at her book longingly, sad to part with it, and starts to head back to the shelf to put it back away.
" Not at all dear.. would you like for me to hold onto that for you? Behind the counter?" He says, pointing to the book in her hand. She suddenly stops and looks over her shoulder at him, positively glowing.
"You-you can do that?" She says, happily stunned. To the angel's delighted nod, she adorably seems to bounce a bit, and opens to the page she was on to place the pretty fabric bookmark Crowley had given her. She preens as she hands over the book to Aziraphale with two hands and thanks him profusely.
"You'll be back tomorrow, no?" Says the angel, hopeful that she'll come back, after seeing how his husband practically adored her. The girl nodded with a smile, thanked him once more with a wave, and left the shop. It was long after close by the time she left, but neither the angel nor the demon minded in the slightest. They both took to loving her immediately like a daughter, both of them knowing how rightfully ridiculous that was. But, God's ways had always been ridiculous, and had sent her favorite couple just that, a daughter.
