Clip-Clop... Clip-Clop... the steps echoed loudly as Katy and Jack made their way to the throne room. Trying not to stress out about what could happen once they were finally in front of the Queen, who knows all the powers Magdala had, could she detect that Jack had changed? Only time would tell, but then again she also had to trust her vision, this couldn't change what she saw, and if it did she would have had another one.
Two soldiers saluted the Knave before they opened the wide double doors. Jack didn't even acknowledge their presence as he marched into the Throne Room. His posture was straight, with his hands folded behind him. Katy couldn't tell that he was no longer under control, hopefully, his act would be good enough.
"Ahhh, you're back, I've been anxious to see what you have promised. It's been a few hours since I have seen someone in pain, and to be honest that is way too long of a time between tortures. This is my favorite thing to watch, so get on with it, because one way or another you will experience pain today." Magdala sneered manically, the twinkle in her eye spreading.
Goosebumps flew all across Katy's skin, the Queen was clearly looking forward to this, and it wasn't the joy that made you smile in return. No, it was the kind that made your whole being crawl in terror, she wanted to shiver but she refrained as she knew the Queen would only be further pleased by it.
Straightening her posture, she focused on what she had to do, Katy allowed herself to think about telling the next part of the vision wrong. It had been a while since she had let herself feel this pain, but she was prepared for it, knowing that this was needed. Her body started twitching in pain, her face grimacing as she felt the sharp pain. It felt like she was being stabbed by a thousand tiny knives. What felt like half an hour only lasted for five minutes.
Going that long was necessary, Magdala wouldn't be satisfied if it was shorter, in fact, she might demand her to go longer. During the torture, she tried telling a lie about the vision and she could hardly get the words out. In her peripheral vision, she could see clenched fists of Jack, and she felt a different type of thrill at his slight show of concern. Yet, she worried that the Queen might see something odd about it, but she had nothing to worry about because Magdala was too busy watching Katy's pain, with a wide sadistic grin on her face.
Finally, she let go and slammed the door, once more locking it away. Katy was breathing heavily as she looked up, "Do you believe me now?" She questioned, puffing slightly between each word.
"My, my, that was enjoyable, it appears that you are indeed telling the truth. Fine, get on with it, tell me what this vision of yours was." Magdala replied as she chuckled wickedly.
"What you need to do is gather your remaining army and make your way to the Valley, it is there that you will meet the Revolution. The battle has something coming that will be unexpected for you, but don't worry, the true Queen of Wonderland will win the battle and will reign over Wonderland. Never to have an uprising again, once and for all the people will show honor to the Red Queen." Katy related her vision to the Queen, smirking on the inside, knowing that Magdala had no idea what was going to happen.
Magdala's smile widened deeply as the vision progressed, "How nice of you to betray your precious Revolution, but I don't blame you. It's better to be on the winning side, after all these years I will be successful and no one will rise again to destroy the kingdom, there will be peace for centuries. They will fear me and honor me, and I will reign forever! Now, regarding you, did you seriously think I would just let you walk away from this castle? You will not be leaving, but you should be grateful, I am not going to kill you, yet. Knave, take her to the dungeon, that will be your new home, and if you have any new visions you are to tell your ward and they will send word to me." She dismissed her without a thought, already moving on to calling for her General.
