Deprived, disire, desperate

It's been a week sense I last saw the traveler, she put quite a scare on everyone. When I'm I'm a quiet place I recall how she hugged onto me. No one has ever dared to hug me, the only people were my siblings and Morax. Only them. And it's been awhile sense anyone hugged me. I mean it's a hug! Why am I getting so worked up about a hug?!

"XIAO!" Cloud retainer yelled
"Huh? Yes?" I said
"Thinking about something? I called your name several times," she said
"Sorry, just have something on my mind" I said
"What's got my little yaksha so distracted?" She asked
"Why would I tell you?" I said
"because if you don't tell me, you're going to be thinking about it all day." She said
"Then I'll think about it." I said
"You sure?" She asked
"Yeah" I said teleporting away

I teleported back to the inn and saw the traveler walking in the distance, she must've come back from her commissions. I think she still needs to rest but what can I do?

I haven't been to honest with myself. But I want to feel that warmth again, have it all to myself, ya know? A little selfish I have to admit but whatever. Plus I'll stop thinking about her soon.

(A few days pass)

Cloud retainer was right. Whatever I do I can't stop thinking about her, so here I am. In front of cloud retainer's home.

"Cloud?" Is say

The doors open and I walk in.

"There's my boy! Come to talk about what on your mind?" She said

I groaned and sat next to her. dangling my feet

"Oh my, must be serious if you actually come to talk to me about it," she said
"Now, what's bothering you?" She asked
"It's this.." I paused

Should I tell her? About the girl I've been longingly wanted to be by? The girl who puts a smile on my face?

" I.... There's this feeling..." I start

Cloud retainer sat down and turned to me. I sigh

"I can't really explain it.." I say
"I met this girl, well the traveler, and she just..." I paused
" I see, girl troubles." Cloud retainer said
"Yeah.. I've been wanting to stay by her side, make sure nothing happens to her, want to feel her close to me.. want to.. feel her warmth.." I say
"Well, it sounds like your in love." Cloud retainer says
"Love?" I repeat
"Yes, it's natural to want to find comfort or want to protect the people you love. It's all apart of life," she says
"But I can't! I can't love her! Don't you see? I'm an adeptus, she a mortal! It would never work, like it did with Morax. I don't want to feel like that, heartbroken for so many years,"I spoke
"Is she a mortal?" Cloud retainer asked
"Well of course! Why wouldn't she be?" I said

Cloud retainer chuckled

"Your telling me she suddenly showed up out of nowhere, decided to help nations out while looking for her brother? Not to mention she can wield more elements without a vision" she spoke
"Yeah but still.. I don't want hurt her, even with the karmic debt. She'll get hurt" I said

Cloud retainer sighed and stood up,

"Well if your not going admit you love her, your going to drown in the thoughts of her. You should tell her before she slips through your fingers" cloud retainer spoke
"Right.. bye cloud, thanks for your help" I said
"Goodbye xiao"

I teleported back onto Wangshu inn's top balcony

"There he is!" Said squeaky voice
"Xiao!" Paimon called out

I turn my head to see the traveler and Paimon,

"What is it?" I say
"We've come to say goodbye!" Paimon says
