We had gotten the harbor and she took me to a few places.
"Are you hungry xiao?" She asked "I don't like human food" I said "I'll make you almond tofu" she said
Her almond tofu was really good, the first time I tried it was like, well I can't describe it.
I nodded my head
"Wait there i be right back!" She said in a cheerful voice
I went to the table she was talking about and sat down. I watched her walk away, looking at her scars that could have killed her. I wouldn't be able to protect her..
After waiting for a while she finally came back
"Here xiao," she said placing a plate of tofu in front of me "Thanks," I said
She had made something for herself and we both ate
It started getting crowded around here and I felt my head spin for a bit
"Hm.. I need to make one more trip, can you manage?" She said "Hm? Yeah, I'll be fine" I said
We get up and head to the adventures guild where Kathryn is she said the same thing she always does
"Hello traveler! Oh where's Paimon? Is he your new travel companion now?" She said giving out a small laugh "Nope! I was wondering where Paimon went though" Traveler spoke
Why do you care about her?
"No, I haven't seen her since you both came here to tell that you completed your daily commissions" Kathryn said "Ah, alright. But if she comes by tell her to meet me at wangshu inn" she said "Alright, have a good day traveler! You too sir." She said
We walked away and my headache got worse
"You okay xiao?" She asked "Yeah I just have a headache I'm fine," I said "We can leave if you like," she said "I'm-"
My head hurts like hell.
"Xiao..? Come on let's leave" she spoke softly
She walked me out of the harbor and to a hillside where we could see the ocean and sunset. She sat down
"Come here xiao," she said softly
I sat down next to her. My headache got worse,
"Traveler.... Go..." I grunted
She looked at me worriedly. She hugged me and petted my hair, it felt nice. It soothed my headache a bit. I started to doze off, with that she put my head on her lap
"Oh xiao..." she whispered "Traveler..." I spoke "Yes?" She answered "I... love you.." I said falling asleep "I love you too xiao," she spoke softly
I could feel her get close to my face, my face became warm like hers, and I left something on my lips but I had already passed out, I felt.. safe.
