A few days had passed sense I had spoken to the traveler, she hadn't called out my name, not once. But why would I care? Yet here I am in a tree watching her fight hilichruls while the sun sets. The fairy is just on the side lines. I'm guessing she didn't want in the way
I can't lie, she's a pretty good fighter. She can hold her own very well even without peoples help. What amazes me more is she can do all that with a dull blade.
*gears clanking*
I look to my left and a ruin guard walks toward her, she doesn't seem to notice. I put my hands down and call upon my spear. She turns around to give this 'oh sh*t' expression and jumps back the the missiles that were flying at her.
*more gear clinking*
Two more ruin guards come up behind her and she looks around worried
"Paimon run!" She yells
"Paimon won't leave you behind!" She yelled
"Just go! I meet you back at Wangshu inn!" She yelled back
The pixie hesitated then flew off, the traveler looked around and attack the first ruin guard.
After taking that one down she focused on the second one. Which was a mistake, she managed to get the 3rd ruin guard to hit the second one but something was off. She huffed and wobbled a bit;Then stood. Two hiliachruls grabbed her arm and tried to hold her still, she grunted and elbowed one and push the other, but to late, she got hit by a few missiles. Ouch. After holding her breath and silently screaming she stood up and ran after the last ruin guard. Standing in front of all three ruin guards and a few hilichruls she spoke
"F- finally," she Panted
She turned and fell to her knees. Panting very hard she rolled on her back and stared at the stars in the sky, she seemed like she wanted to cry but kept it in.
I teleported down and she was asleep. After all that? I kneeled down and poked her face
"Traveler?" I spoke softly
She groaned and opened her eyes
"Xiao?" She whispered
"Yeah, are you okay?" I asked
She raised her arms up and hugged me. She hugged me. Her warmth was like nothing I've ever felt before. Her arms fell and she was asleep. After that hit from the ruin guard she must've ran on her adrenaline; I picked her up and teleported to the inn.
