Peyton's pov

The room was deathly quiet ever since Rose left to get Elijah. The waiting was killing me. Everyone was on edge. Trevor was pacing back and forth. Why do I have the feeling he's not going to make it out of this next encounter so greatly? I mean he pissed off a very old and stronger vampire. This really can't turn out great for him. I know it sounds like stalk-home syndrome but I truly hope he doesn't get hurt. He was betrayed by Kathrine and his life was ruined by it. He had to live decades or more in fear never knowing a moment of rest because of the original. I honestly think he should have run. If there is anything that I have learned from vampires is that they are the world's prettiest creatures. If they want to get even they will.

I was driven out of thought when I heard footsteps coming from the balcony. I turned around and saw Rose with a man. His appearance was interesting his hair looked like some high school skater boys but he was wearing what looked to be an expensive suit. a Very odd combination if you ask me. He was staring directly at Elena who now looks like a dear caught in headlights. Before we knew it he rushed down stars and was now face to face with Elena. He continued to walk closer to her. he then leaned down and smelled her neck.

"Human. It's impossible"This was all he said before he flashed Elana a big smile.

"You're a vampire. One of the first ones to be manufactured or whatever and her being a human is where you draw the line?"Maybe, not one of the best moments to be snarky but the guy made a really stupid statement.

He then rushed over to me making me take a step back. He flashed a smile at me ."Hello there. who are you?"

"Her brother." I said while pointing to Elena.

"Humm you look oddly familiar." He tried to bring one of his hands to my face but I grabbed it before I could do so. The minute I touched him a flash of images of him and a younger kid playing in the woods appeared in my head. I let go of his hand. I could barely breathe. It took me a minute to capture my breath once I did I realized I was on the floor holding my head I looked up and saw the vampire staring at me in a state of shock. I also noticed that Elena was on the floor holding me. When did she get here? Once I got my breathing steady enough I looked back at him " Wha...What did you do to me? Was that some time of ye old vampire Jedi mind trick or something?"

"I didn't do anything to you? But I am intrigued by how you were able to see my memories by touching my hands. Well, we will figure out that later as for now we have a long journey ahead of us we must be on our way now."

Elena looked at the two vampires staring at us now."Please don't let him take us. Please my brother isn't well."

"One last more piece of business before we go." Elijah then turned away from us and walked back over to Trevor.

Trevor looked so small string to keep his head up high enough so he could properly look at Elijah"I've waited so long for this day, Elijah. I'm truly very sorry"

Elijah continued stalking around the nervous vampire "Oh no your apology is not necessary."

"Yes. Yes, it is. You trusted me with Katrina and I failed you." Trevor looked like a sacred bunny about to get eaten by a coyote every time Elijah circled around him.

"Well, yes, you are the guilty one. Rose aided you because she was loyal to you. That I honor." Elijah was now faced to-face with Trevor." Where was your loyalty?"

"I beg your forgiveness."

"So granted." Elijah said ever so softly and in the next instant, Elijah raised his and cut Trevor's head clear off his body.
