Peytons pov

Im driving with Ric to the boarding house. The car ride was pretty awkward I didn't really want to talk and I am assuming he doesn't know what to talk about. So that just left us in awkward silence. 

Thankfully the silence came to a stop once we entered the house.  Right after seeing Andi Star the news lady whos friends with Jenna take a walk of shame out of the home.

We walked in and Alaric gave him a questioning look. 

"My new girlfriend, Andi Star, Action news."

"It's not called action news," Ric said correcting Damon."

"I know. I just like saying it. Come on in guys." Damon says signaling us to come in with his arm.

We both then entered the home.

"So Jon Gilbert gave me this to kill Elijah." Damon then showed us an old-looking Dagor with a jar full of grey ashes.

"He said you have to dip the dagger in the remains of the old white ash tree that dates back to the original. If there's any truth in that"

 "Sounds too easy. "

Damon then looked over to Ric and handed the danger over to him.

"So you both think it's a setup?"Ric asked while examining the Blade.

"Please Uncle John only does things to benefit his own agenda."

"Peyton's right. The guy is a weasel. So it very well could be a trap. I wouldn't put anything past him. So what or you up to today Mr . Saltzman?"

"Well, Jenna and I were supposed to go to her family's lake house, but somehow, we both got dropped into doing this historical society thing at the Lockwoods."

"Where Elijha is the guest of honor?"

"Tell me you're not going to kill him at the tea party."

"Please the guy would probably kill him first if he tried."

"One rude Peyton. I thought that you would have more faith in my ability to kill. Two no that would be stupid. I want to know his endgame before I kill him. But I think it is about time Elijha and I officially met."

"Didn't you officially meet the guy when you shanked him with a coat rack?"

"Haha, very funny smartass. What about you? Do you plan on getting yourself kidnapped again or are you going to actually do something productive today?"

"I have to be at the Tea party too. Mrs. Lockwood asked me to help at the last minute. So looks like I'm going to be using my time to be productive by babysitting you. "

Peyton's pov

Some time has passed and now I am at the Historical society tea party.  Ric and I were talking to Aunt Jenna waiting for Damon to show up.  Jenna was going on about something that I wasn't particularly interested in listening to. Personally, my focus is on Elijha at the moment. I kept my distance, but he seems to follow everywhere I go. I don't know if it's just a coincidence or if he is doing this on purpose. My thought was disrupted when Damon finally arrived.

Jenna noticed aswell and walked up to him.

"Damon, what are you doing here?"Jenna asked.
