Theft at the mansion (5SOS, Psych, Doctor Who fanfic)

Chapter 1: The Theft

5SOS was getting ready for the party they were playing that night. "Man, this party is gonna be awesome," Ashton said. "Yea, especially since you're gonna propose to Brandie in the middle of the show," Luke said. "Yea, after 5 years of being with her, I know she's the one I want to spend the rest of my life with," Ashton said. "Guys, hurry up, we're gonna be late," Calum said. They left and got to the mansion about an hour before the party started. "Come on guys, let's get everything set up," Michael said. They set up everything in about 10 minutes. "Hey guys," Brandie said when she arrived at the mansion. "Hey Brandie," the boys said. "Ready for our duet tonight babe?" Ashton asked. "Yea, it's gonna be awesome," Brandie said. "Because I'll be singing with you," Ashton said. "Aww thanks, Ash," Brandie said. "No problem, you have an amazing voice," Ashton said. "You really do, your voice is awesome," Luke said. "Thanks, guys," Brandie said. "Guys, it's almost time," Michael said. "Didn't you say you and Brandie wanted to start Ash?" Calum asked. "Yea, come on baby," Ashton said. They were ready to start once the party started and guests starting arriving. Everything was going well until the lights went out. Luke screamed and hid under a table. When the lights came back on, Luke came out from the table he was hiding under, and the necklace that they saw when they arrived at the mansion was gone. "Guys, the necklace is gone!" Brandie said. "Ashton, go check and see if the ring is still in the room," Calum whispered. Ashton checked and the ring was gone. "It's gone!" Ashton screamed. "What's gone?" Brandie asked. "Nothing," Ashton said. "Just go ahead and tell her Ash," Luke said. "Brandie, in the middle of the show, after we sang Teenage Dream, I was gonna propose to you, but whoever stole the necklace stole the ring," Ashton said. "Ashton, that's so sweet, I would've said yes, whether you had the ring or not, because I love you," Brandie said. "So, you'll marry me?" Ashton asked. "Of course I will," Brandie said. "I'm so glad, if the ring hadn't gotten stolen, I'd put it on you right now," Ashton said. All of a sudden, everyone was chanting "Kiss, kiss, kiss," Ashton and Brandie looked at each other for a few seconds. "Ok, you guys want us to kiss, we'll kiss," Ashton said, before kissing his girlfriend. After they kissed, cheers rose from the crowd. "Guys, we need to call the cops," Calum said. Luke called the cops, 2 detectives by the names of O'Hara and Lassiter showed up. "So exactly what items were stolen?" Detective Lassiter asked. "A $10 million heirloom necklace, and a $25,000 engagement ring I was gonna give to my girlfriend," Ashton said. "Ashton, you spent that much money on me?" Brandie asked. "Yes, because you're worth it Brandie," Ashton said. "So you're the girlfriend?" Detective Lassiter asked. "Yes I am," Brandie said. "How long have you two been together?" Detective Lassiter asked. "5 years," Ashton said. "That's how long I've been married," Detective Lassiter said. "Really?" Brandie asked. "Yea," Detective Lassiter said. "Well congratulations on the marriage," Ashton said. "Thanks, congrats on the engagement you two," Detective Lassiter said. "Thanks," Ashton said. "Anyways, we'll see if we can find who stole the items in question," Detective Lassiter said. "Ok, just so you know, the lights went out before the items were stolen, so we couldn't see the thief's face," Brandie said.
