Chapter 2: The Investigation

"Ok, don't worry, just make sure nobody leaves the mansion," Detective Lassiter said. "Got it," Ashton said. Ashton and Brandie rejoined the others in the middle of the room. "Michael, can I borrow the megaphone please?" Brandie asked. "Sure, here you go," Michael said, handing Brandie the megaphone. "Thanks," Brandie said. "No problem," Michael said. "Ok, listen up everyone, because of the theft that has taken place, we can't let you leave," Brandie said into the megaphone. Everyone groaned. Ashton took the megaphone from Brandie. "Listen, one of you in here is a thief, and until we find out which one of you it is, nobody's leaving," Ashton said. "What if nobody confesses?" Calum asked. "Then we'll search everyone in here until we find who stole the necklace and the ring," Detective O'Hara said. "How long should we wait before you start searching people?" Luke asked. "About 20 minutes maybe," Detective O'Hara said. "That sounds good, then if nobody confesses, we turn off the lights and see if anyone puts the items back," Michael said. "No, I swear to god Michael, you turn off the lights, I'll kill you," Luke said. "Oh yeah, I forgot, Luke's a little baby when it comes to the dark," Michael said. "Shut up Michael!" Luke yelled. "What? It's true," Michael said. "I know, but I don't freak out that much," Luke said. "Luke, you hid under a fucking table dude," Calum said. "Hey, don't swear," Ashton said. "Sorry Ashton," Calum said. "It's ok Calum," Ashton said. 20 minutes passed and nobody confessed to the theft. "Mr. Irwin, may I borrow that megaphone please?" Detective Lassiter asked. "Sure, here you go Detective," Ashton said, handing the megaphone to Detective Lassiter. "Thanks," Detective Lassiter said. "No problem," Ashton said. "Alright, everyone listen up, we'll be searching everyone in this room, and we won't stop till we find which of you scumbags stole the necklace and ring" Detective Lassiter said into the megaphone. The detectives were about to start the search until one guy stood up and started running.
