'When im with you, I feel so safe.
Like im home'
Corin ran through beacon hills scared and hurt.
Tears spilt from her eyes as her body fought against her.
Her dad was always a horrid man but he never got physical...ever and when he did she didn't know what to do so she just ran.
Her body was screaming for her to stop running, legs and chest burning, her sides cramping as she forced herself to keep going as her body threatened to give out.
She kept going as she knew he was out there looking for her and she couldn't go back.
Her mom had died because he got too angry and shot her and she was so scared that she was next.
Corin ran into a street and noticed the houses.
Liam lived in this neighbourhood.
Liam and Corin met when they ran into each other in school.
Her books scattered everywhere and he helped her pick them up with a cute panic painted on his face.
They had been good friends ever since as he helped her feel safe even when he told her what he was.
She ran up to Liam's house and pounded on the door as she looked around nervously.
Suddenly the door opened shoeing Liam.
He looked dishevelled and tired but all that went away when he saw her.
"Corin?" he said.
She looked at him before breaking down.
She walked to him and wrapped her arms around him.
"What happened?" Liam asked.
"M-My dd-dad" she stuttered.
Liam shut the door before looking at her.
"I ran from him and I know now that he's going to be looking for me.
I didn't know who else to go to" she said.
"It's ok.
He won't come here and ill make sure that he doesn't find you" Liam said.
She looked at him "You can stay here until you can find something better" Liam said.
"Thanks.
I didn't want to put this all on you, I'm sorry" she said.
"Hey, it's ok.
I'll always help you out Corin as you never ask for anything" he said.
She nodded "Now come on.
You can stay in my room tonight" he said.
"Are you sure?
I can sleep on the couch" she said.
"I want to make sure that your ok and that your dad doesn't find you here," said Liam.
She smiled softly before nodding "Ok" she said.
They then walked upstairs and Corin looked at Liam.
He had always been there and she couldn't feel luckier with having him around.
Her life has always been anything but happy and enjoyable but when she met Liam and started to let him in all of that changed.
They walked into his room "You can take the right side" he said.
"Alright," she said before walking to the window.
She looked through it to see if anything was there in the darkness.
"He's not going to find you," he said softly.
"He's never gotten physical with me.
Yeah he's thrown a bunch insults and put me through hell but he never hit me.
I don't know why but when he did I panicked and I ran" she said.
"Are you ok?" he asked.
"Yeah at least I think so," she said.
Liam looked at her "I'm just glad that I don't have to go back after that" she said.
"You're not going back ever.
I'll talk to my dad and ill make sure that you can stay here" said Liam.
She smiled softly as for once in her whole life she knew she would be ok.
