Seven

Time moved fast as Corin sat with her back against the wall as Theo stood next to her while Liam watched Nolan.
Corin felt bad for Nolan as he won't survive this.
The hunters will eventually lead him to his death and everything he did will mean nothing to anyone because no one would remember someone that never told their story.
"If you keep looking he's gonna see you.
Get back" said Theo.
Liam looked at Nolan again as Corin looked around as she kept thinking that a hunter was going to find them and it will all be over.
"I'm not dying out here because you want payback against some kid who kicked your ass, okay?" said Theo.
Suddenly Theo grabbed him and ran away from where they were hiding.
Corin got up and followed them.
She didn't want to be alone.
"Let go," said Liam.
"Calm down!" Theo roared.
"I said let go," said Liam as his eyes shifted.
Corin looked at him "What's going on with you?
This can't just be Nolan.
Something around here is triggering you" said Theo.
"I'm fine" said Liam.
"What is it?
The hunters?
You don't like cages, scared of heights?" Theo asked.
"I said im fine" said Liam.
"We're trying to help Liam," she said.
Liam looked at Corin.
Suddenly Nolan rushed to them "They're up here!" he shouted out.
Liam looked at him before lunging towards him.
He roared out as Corin looked at him.
"Theo" she said.
"Stay here.
I'll knock him out then we can hide until dark" said Theo.
She looked at him "It's going to be ok Corin.
Just stay here and let me deal with Liam" said Theo softly.
She took a shaky breath before sitting down as Theo rushed to get Liam before he killed Nolan.

Time passed as Liam groaned while felling his jaw.
"I had to knock you out," said Theo.
"Yeah, how many times?" Liam asked.
"Five," said Theo as he focused on the road while sneaking glances at Corin as she slept across the back seats.
"I almost killed him, didn't I?" Liam asked.
"Almost.
But you broke your hands trying not to" said Theo.
Liam scoffed "I guess that's something.
I bet I scarred Corin" said Liam.
"She was more afraid of the hunters than you.
Next time you come up with a plan like this pick a place that doesn't trigger a murderous rage" said Theo.
"I didn't know this was going to happen," said Liam.
"Whether you meant it or not, you picked the spot," said Theo.
"You made the plan.
You wanted me and Corin to help" said Theo.
"If I needed your help for anything, it'll be so I get angry enough to kill you myself," said Liam.
"You brought me here because of that thing that came out of the wild hunt is affecting you too.
You need to figure this out before you completely lose it" said Theo.
"The Anuk-ite causes fear, it doesn't cause anger," said Liam.
"People only feel one emotion at a time, Liam.
Which is why you get angry when you're afraid.
That's why you almost tore Nolan's head off" said Theo.
"If the Anuk-ite can do this to me what do you think it's doing to everyone else?" said Liam.
"For one it's making Corin paralyzed with fear.
When you lunged towards Nolan she froze completely and she started to tear up.
That reaction isn't normal" said Theo.
"It's not the Anuk-ite," Liam said.
"Then what is it?" Theo asked.
"She might kill me for this but the truth is that she was abused by her dad since she was young.
She doesn't fully remember childhood and all that fear is because of that bastard and now he's a hunter and he's trying to find her.
That's why she clings to me because she can't protect herself and I can protect us both" Liam said.
Theo looked at Corin.
"Why does she trust me then?" Theo asked.
"I don't know but listen to me when I say don't fucking hurt her.
If you hurt her she will run and you won't see her again.
She's truly the most precious thing in my life and I would die for her" said Liam.
"I think it's also because you have feelings for her," said Theo.
Liam looked out of the window.
"Hey I don't blame you.
She's gorgeous, kind, smart and strong" said Theo.
"I love her Theo and if you tell her I swear I'll kill you," said Liam.
"I won't.
I like her too" said Theo.
Liam looked at him as Theo smiled "So I guess it all depends on who she wants as her protector" said Theo.
