"Steve Harrington?" A nurse entered the room.

Steve stopped pacing and stared at her, " Uh...yea. that's me!"

"Ms Buckley would like you in the room for the delivery. Is that alright?"

Steve nodded and sighed in relief, "Thank god."

They walked into a room and he immediately spotted Robin's curled up figure on the bed.

He took a breath to stay calm and stalked over her.

"How're you feeling baby?" He softly muttered into her ear.

She just groaned in return. Her body started shaking and Steve's eyes widened.

"Don't cry. It'll be over soon." He stroked her hair.

Robin burst out laughing, "You are so funny Stevie! Like what was up with that 'hospital' rant? Its name is a 'hospital', deal with it. And how you literally forgot me. I'm sobbing. Dude you even called me wife!"

Steve rolled his eyes but embarrassment tinted his cheeks.

"Is she on drugs?" He turned to the amused nurse.

The nurse chuckled, " Nope. It's the pain talking. You are very lucky she's in a happy delusional mood, not an angry monster one. Usually it doesn't end well for the other husbands."

Steve didn't even have the time to correct her before Robin let out a whimper for help. He rushed to her side once more.

"What's wrong Rob?"

"I-I need to push."

Everything was in a frenzy after that. Nurses streamed into the room and the doctor started the birth.

Steve was absolutely petrified. He had never seen Robin so vulnerable and in so much pain before.

Sweat beaded her red face as she bore down with each contraction. She had practically broken Steve's hand from squeezing it, but the boy couldn't register the pain. All he concentrated on was Robin, Robin and Robin.

The man was whispering sweet nothings into her ears every time she would wail in pain or wipe the tears streaming down her face with a cool, wet cloth.

Robin flopped back onto the bed. It was too tolling, " S-steve. I don't think I can do this anymore."

Steve masked all form of fear and stared at her with passion and determination, " You are doing so well Rob. Just a few more pushes and you will have a beautiful baby in your arms."

So with newfound strength Robin pushed on.

"Ahh-fucksake!" She shrieked the pain burning all through her veins.

Steve gently stroked her hair and planted a kiss on her forehead, "You're doing so well babe."

"It's a girl!"

A baby's cry filled the air and Robin's and Steve's eyes lit up.

A baby girl.

The celebration was short-lived however when Robin tugged of Steve's sleeve.

"I don't feel so good Steve."

Immediately Steve was worried, was it normal for her to feel like this? Was it normal for her to be so...blue?

It was only when the doctors started yelling did Steve know something was truly wrong.

Everything was a blur once more. The beeping of Robin's heart machine quickened and grew louder.

Words like 'blood loss' and 'emergency surgery' were thrown across the room. Words he didn't like the sound of at all.

"I love you Steve." Robin whispered before passing out

Steve was frantically tapping her cheek, "No. No. No. No. NO. NO! Babe, please wake up. Don't die on me!"

"Sir, we need you to leave."

He was gently pushed out of the room and Robin was out of sight.

The rest of the crew, Hopper and Joyce included, were in sight though.

They stood excitedly when Steve emerged and bombarded him with questions.

He just numbly stared at them, "Something's wrong with Robin. She might die."

All the yelling suddenly stopped.

"Steve. Maybe sit down, hon? You're looking a bit peaky darling?" Joyce questioned with worry.

Steve noticed Hopper lunge forward before everything went black.
