As they stepped foot into the house they heard wailing.

Robin rushed into the room and found Nancy shushing Hadleigh softly, a bottle of milk on her hand.

"You guys came at the right time," Nancy handed the baby to Robin, "She just started to cry."

Steve smiled at his ex girlfriend and lead her out of the room.

Meanwhile the crying had fully stopped, Hadleigh drinking milk from her mother as Robin held her gently.

She stared at her baby and tears sprung to her eyes. Everything was overwhelming. Maybe Hadleigh only liked her for milk. Maybe that as her only use.

Steve silently watched from afar and tears sprung to his eyes. He didn't even bother to wipe them away. His best friend was suffering from something that should have made her happy.

Hadleigh gazed up at Robin and sloppily sucked on her mother's finger. It was as if all the sunshine had finally dawned upon the girl. Her baby finally loved her.

Then, all the sleepless nights, pent up sadness and exhaustion hit. Robin swiftly lay Hadleigh down on her cot and waves of dizziness continuously smashed into her. She gripped the corners of the table so tightly her knuckles turned white.

Steve, sensing something was wrong, rushed over to Robin, almost tripping over his feet.

"ROB! What's wrong?!" He grabbed onto her shoulders.

"Gwhwjenuhkjhkjhkjhjkhjkhjkhbdh," was her reply.

And to Steve's horror her eyes rolled back and she collapsed into his arms.

*********************

Steve was furious.

Robin hadn't been eating. She hadn't been sleeping. And worst of all, she hadn't been smiling.

"It's the postpartum depression," the doctor started sympathetically, " She didn't have to energy to do everything by herself."

By herself. But she wasn't supposed to do everything by herself. Steve was supposed to be there for her, to help her.

How many tears had he shed during the days Robin was knocked out? He was almost inconsolable Dustin would say.

The only thing that put a smile to his face, was little baby Hadleigh.

He never left her side, she was always in his arms.

She would sleep in Steve's arms instead of the cot now, and drink her milk from a bottle fed by him.

The only time that he would put her down was to change her diapers.

And then Robin woke up. She cracked her eyes open and all his attention was juggling between the two of his girls. He felt like passing out from exhaustion as well.

However soothing changed one night when he came home from family Video to see 2 packed up suitcases and Robin piling things into a backpack.

Immediately her was on the ground, pleading for them not leave him.

Robin only chuckled, " No silly, you are going to leave us....for a little while."

Steve got back on his feet and firmly spoke, " No. No I'm not."

She chuckled and Hadleigh giggled from her playpen.

Immediately Steve smiled and picked the baby up, peppering kisses all over her face.

"You are just going on a slight holiday," Robin grinned and pulled out a ticket,"To Hawaii!"

Steve started to protest, but as Robin grew even more stubborn his argument grew weaker until excitement took over him.

"Then after you come back from your rest, we'll figure this parenting out." Robin wrapped her arms around him.

Steve beamed and pressed a kiss to the crown of her head.

"We'll be alright."
