a/n : not really gonna write notes for this one so enjoy the read :)

Robin stared at the two lines in horror.

Pregnant

Flashes of that night flickered through her mind.

The pain. The trauma. The guilt.

And now the baby.

"ROBIN! GUESS WHO JUST BAGGED HIMSELF A DATE WITH A HOT CHICK!" Steve practically squealed as he banged on the door.

She chuckled bitterly, swiping away her tears.

"COME ON BUCKLEY! WE GOTTA CELEBRATE!" Steve yells faded as he gallivanted away - probably to show off to Keith.

Robin cleared her throat. She had to stay strong. Steve finally found someone - and who was she to ruin his mood?

Weakly pushing open the bathroom door she dumped the test in the bin and returned to the front desk.

Like she expected, Steve was bragging to everyone who was anyone about his date.

Robin scoffed. She wouldn't be surprised if he started talking to the pot plant about this girl. It was definitely a Steve thing to do.

"HEY ROB! GUESS WHO-"

Robin cut him off, " -Bagged himself a date. I KNOW STEVE! In fact the whole of Hawkins probably knows dingus!"

Steve just grinned widely.

Usually he would have payed more attention to Robin's red eyes and fake smile but today he was blissfully oblivious.

He's just on a high. Robin shrugged it off.

"What's her name?" Robin forced a bright smile.

"Her name is....uh...shit!"

"Shit?" Robin raised an amused eyebrow.

Steve brushed it off, " I'll find out tonight anyways. It's fine."

"Yeah. Everything is fine." Robin muttered underneath her breath.

"HARRINGTON! BUCKLEY!"Keith stormed up to them.

"Everything ok Keith-who-is-still-single?" Steve smirked.

Idiot.

"Shut the hell up Harrington before I light your greasy-ass hair on fire!" Keith muttered threateningly.

Steve cowered back but poked his tongue out playfully.

"What's up Keith?" Robin shot Steve a warning look.

"You two are locking up for the night, and just so you know there is a bunch of stacking to do tomorrow so-"

Robin was knocked by a wave of dizziness. She tried to descreetly massage her head as blurriness took over her vision. She could see Keith's lips moving but no sound was coming out. She felt herself swaying slightly as panic overtook her senses.

Suddenly she was lowered into a chair as someone clutched her arm tightly.

Everything snapped back to normal.

Robin blinked. Steve was crouched down at her feet, her arm still firmly in his grip. His face was creased with worry, his eyebrow scrunched, mouth screwed and eyes narrowed.

"Robin. You okay babe?" Robin knew Steve must be really concerned because he only called her babe in extreme circumstances.

"Yeah bro. It looked like you were about to pass out."Keith chipped in.

Shit. This pregnancy thing was definitely not going to go unnoticed.

Robin slightly massaged her head as she wobbled to her feet. Steve rushed over in a hurry steadying her weight on him.

"I'm fine. Just a headache." Robin managed a weak smile.

The two men exchanged a shared glance .

"Trust me! I'm fine! But do you think I can go home now?" She felt frustration bubble over her.

Keith opened his mouth to protest but stopped at Steve's murderous glare.

"Uh sure. Harrington and I can lock up today."

Steve gently took her hand in his and stared at her sunken face.

"Want me to drive you?"

Robin's eyes widened," No no no. You have a date, remember?"

Steve's eyes softened, " She can wait another time. You are more important."

Robin felt like bawling. Steve was willing to give up his date for HER.

No. No she couldn't do that to him. What if this girl was the right one for him?

"No thanks. I'll walk, a little fresh air will do me good." She forced another smile before hurriedly packing up her stuff.

"But-"Steve tried, but Robin had already left.

She rushed out of the building and started the walk home. A very long walk home. Darkness had settled over the small town and her dizziness was still lingering.

All of a sudden, she felt herself tumbling, her head crashing into the concrete.

Shit. Shit. Shit.

She could feel the blood trickle down her nose as she stumbled forward. Finally, her dimly lit home came into view and she sighed in relief.

She was fine. Everything was great.

Tomorrow was a new day.

*************
Robin stared in the mirror. She was still in her uniform, very ruffled having her sleep in it the night before. Dried up blood clung to her skin and eye bags made themselves dark and prominent on her face.

She felt like crying. On top of spending most of the morning throwing up and lying on the cool bathroom floor, her uniform felt extremely snug. Meaning one thing: She was putting on weight.

"Robin? You ready?" Steve's voice echoed from the front door.

Shit. What the fuck? Steve wasn't supposed to be here yet. She hadn't even cleaned up the blood.

Robin glanced at the clock. Holy smokes! 8:50 on the dot! Work started at 9 and it took 20 minutes to get there!

She swung open the front door to reveal a surprised Steve and rushed to his car.

"Woah, woah, woah! What's with the rush Rob?" Steve climbed into the car after her and turned on the ignition.

The engine growled and spluttered to a start.

Robin grew anxious as she tried to turn away from Steve so her gash wasn't that noticeable.

"Sooo how was your date Mr Harrington?" Rob plastered a smirk and wiggle her eyebrows.

Steve groaned," Horrible. Every time she talked she sounded constipated, way worse than Tammy's singing."

Robin burst into a peal of hearty laughter and Steve smirked to himself in victory before joining in.

They laughed for a solid couple of minutes before Steve abruptly stopped.

He suddenly pulled over, unbuckled his seatbelt and turned to the girl.

By this time Robin had grown silent as well, internally panicking.

"Robin," Steve's voice was low, " What the fuck happened to you last night?"

His eyes were fixated on the red gash on her forehead oozing dry blood. His gaze went down to her clothes, all crumpled and creased and then back to her sickly pale face.

"I-I-um fell." Robin trembled in her seat.

"When you left last night?" Steve's eyes darkened.

She quickly nodded.

Then in a second his face snapped to guilt, " Fuck. I knew I should have driven you home. This is all my fucking fault. What if you passed out? Shit! you were already dizzy you could have really hurt yourself-"

Robin cut off Steve's rambling by placing a hand on his.

"I'm okay Steve," she took out a baby wipe from her bag before cleaning her face up, " See? Fine."

Steve slowly nodded as she got out of the car and headed to the videostore.

I'm so screwed.
