Hi..!
A rare picture of mayokun smiling in class above.Mayokun :
My head bobbed up as my mom walked into my room, smiling. I snaked my phone to under my pillow and stretched my body slightly, my body creaked as I stretched.
"Morning Mayo." She said sitting on the chair close to my Clothes drawers.
"Are you going to school today?" She attempted to untie her scarf.
"I don't want to..." I began turning to my side and prepared to go back to sleep frowning a little. She pouted and eyed me. "Mayo please stand up from the bed and prepare yourself for school."she pleaded.
"I don't want to go mom. Let me sleep please." I groaned a little. "Okay. Your dad might come back today around noon and I don't want you to exchange words with him. I'm going out with Ngozi, we're planning on restocking the whole house. Is there anything you'd want." She snapped. I pointed at where my list of provision was, my pad was on it stopping it from flying off.
Mom walked to where my game pad was and took the leaflet and glanced at it. "Jesus mayokun. Are you starting a supermarket or something?"
I laughed hoarsely at her dramatized drawl, "Mommy..!"
I don't understand why she complain about my list when she actually buys more than that. "Mayokun, I can't buy you Maryland cookies, I'll replace it with shortbread. Same thing happy hour, do you remember the thing I sent to you on WhatsApp about the company that produces happy hour..?" Mommy trailed off."That they have the mark of 666 on them?" I quizzed laughing soundlessly. Mother quirked up Her eyebrows, happy that indeed I could recall. This woman sef, she was pure comedic relief. "Yes oh! So I'll replace that Happy hour with chi vita." She murmured taking pictures of the list in her hands. I shook my head, great!the sleep already left my eyes.
"See, Mom you should never be carrier and spreader of bad news, defamation by anybody is punishable by law." I told her, bringing my phone from where I hid it and proceeded to check my WhatsApp messages, there was nothing new."Ooh...I've heard you. But it's still advisable to
Listen to your mom or the elders of the internet..." Mom said and shrugged out. What the-I bursted into mighty fits.
"Elders of the internet ke?" I shook my head, mom was being very very cheesy today.
"Mommy Mayokun. Easy oh!" I replied touching her chin fondly. "Be going jor. You think I don't know all those things you know abi?" I never said so but Laolu thinks he was wiser than Mother, but I didn't say that out loud though, I just shrugged and proceeded to open up my Laptop and glance at some paperwork that I wasn't able to finish yesterday."You're working again?" Mother asked me forcing me to look into her eyes, I saw disapproval in them and I shrugged, lying at something obvious? No. "I thought your dad said he wasn't pushing you?" Mom asked and I stared at the window behind her, finding the big Labrador a better entertainment. "Mom, it's not Dad's fault." I chimed but of course I shouldn't have because she wasn't having it.
"It's not his fault?" Mom screamed her hands now on her waist, her chest heaving. I don't like this, I hated this. "He's getting old mom, I have to take up this either now or later..." I trailed off and sighed.
"He should hand it over to his brother for all I care..!" Women!? She's saying something she doesn't mean because she was at the heat of a conversation again.
"Mom! You want Dad to handover his company to his brother? Hand over the source of our income to his brother? Do you really mean this? Even if you do, so you think I am incapable?" I asked her dropping my laptop on my bed, I stood up to open up the windows and off the Ac, what I needed now was natural air.
