The Wisp limped into the throne room, stumbling to a stop, seeing his new queen sitting on the throne, her eyes full of curiosity, fixing her glasses on her snout to see him better.
"What's with the limping?" She asked, her voice somewhat concerned.
"We tried reaching the Darklight known as Cancer, and as you wished, tried not to bring harm to the healer, but another Darklight was with her, she started a fight, thus, making me limp. We knocked the new Darklight out with some Night berries, but it took awhile to take effect..." The Wisp paused, but then continued as the new queen furrowed her brow, "And...and we accidentally scratched her eye, so now she's blind in her right eye, and you now control her as well..." The queen's gaze was emotionless, but some shock wavered in her voice,
"This was...very...unexpected, Flicker...your only...job was to make sure...things went...smoothly...and they didn't..." She paused, looking annoyed, "I am VERY, disappointed in you..."
"Queen Codex...with all due respect it wasn't my fault, the Darklight was reckless, we had no other choice! We tried to get Cancer! But that Darklight got in the way!" Flicker explained himself and his tribemates. Codex closed her eyes for a moment then let out a frustrated sigh,
"I can't control her, I can only look through her, I just see what's around her and where she is..." Flicker let out a sigh,
"Maybe it just has to set in."
"Maybe it just has to set in." Codex echoed, making her voice sound like Flicker's, "No, this is because it's just one eye." Codex growled to herself in her real voice.
"We could do it to her other eye..." Flicker suggested, as Codex shook her head.
"No, what use is a fully blind Darklight? She would be no use to me, in her current state she is quite useful, leave her be, I have another idea to bring the Darklights to me."
Codex smiled, showing her many sharp and shining teeth. Flicker growled to himself, walking out of the throne room,
"Some fear misunderstood...the stars align, then the moon rises, seeing war within its wake, singing... hybrids near and far, we know where you are, up atop a mountain high, or down below in ocean blue." Flicker muttered, getting a small glimpse of a moonlight glow, yet just growled to himself, hiding away in the dark tunnels of the Wisp Kingdom.
