I opened my eyes slowly, the cave I was in was dimly lit, I couldn't remember the last thing that happened to me other than, the glow of shining milky eyes, and glimmering night black teeth, then... the creature leaving, whining in what I had thought of as regret. I got up slowly, looking outside of the dark cave, only to be met with the bright sunlight, making me squint my eyes as I made my way out of the cave. I saw all of the Spiritus Pardus gathered around my aunt, Emberwater. I walked closer, wondering what this was about.
"Since my niece has been unconscious, there has been two more attacks from the Nightmare Creatures, our home has been destroyed, now we live in this rocky area away from the ocean, we aren't going to let this continue anymore, Stormingtides will go with a few others to reclaim our home. And I will lead the battle with those fit and well enough to fight with me, we will kill the creature that destroyed our home, or we'll die serving our species." Emberwater announced to the hybrids listening around her. I walked through the crowd, they moved out of my way, a look of shock on their faces. I stopped when I was close enough in front of Emberwater,
"This is unreasonable, many Spiritus Pardus could die from this, you're dust brained, we have enough problems, the fish have been breeding less around our home, we still need to find what's happening to them and where to hunt until they come back. The NightMare Creatures won't hurt us if we make a strong enough border, I've heard rumors that the Nightmare Creatures can't control themselves in that form." I said darkly, "if you stay put and work on that I'll go and find out what is happening, the other species are going insane and dying off slowly, I want to get to the bottom of it." Emberwater looked at her niece, her expression that of shock,
"Absolutely not, I will not risk your life, you're the next alpha of our species."
"Well I'm not a good future alpha if I do nothing to help my species! I can't sit around waiting for Lumo knows what! I need to help our species or there will be nothing left, I'm leaving with or without your permission or support." Before my aunt could respond to me I turned around and started walking away from my home, hearing pawsteps run after me, I glanced beside me seeing Shore, he nodded, following me into the unknown of the island.
