"I just don't want to go, I haven't been feelin' good lately."
Sanai side-eyed her, "Don't tell me you're pregnant."
"Girl no," Brooklyn sucked her teeth, "I just don't feel like leavin' the house."
Ever since the call from Mekhi last week Brooklyn hasn't stepped foot outside the house. She was scared and Mekhi wasn't returning any of her calls.
Sanai sighed, "You've been in this house for a week straight," she looked at Brooklyn. "Is it because of the fight?"
Brooklyn turned the flat iron on and began sectioning her hair, "No, I'm over that. Plus, she sent me a text apologizing."
"Bria apologized?" Sanai shook her head, "Ain't no way. It's a fucking miracle."
"I'm pretty sure someone made her do it, she don't seem like the type to apologize."
Sanai smacked her lips, "Cause she not. Von probably sent the text."
Brooklyn picked up the flat iron and looked at Sanai, "They're together?"
She nodded, "I thought you knew."
Brooklyn turned her lips to the side, "Nah, I didn't."
"They poppin' out and everything now, posting each other on ig and shit," Sanai told her as fixed her makeup in the mirror, "You haven't seen that shit?"
"No," Brooklyn started curling some of her hair, "Takin' a break from ig."
Sanai side-eyed Brooklyn, "You sure you good girl? You been actin' weird."
"Yes Sanai, I'm good. I've just been busy."
Sanai sucked her teeth, "Busy doing what? You ain't in school and you got no job."
She curled another piece of her hair, "Family stuff," she looked at Sanai, changing the subject, "So, did you ask around bout Mekhi?"
