TWO YEARS LATER

Aryanna loved the adrenaline feeling that coursed through her as she was in the sky. Her arms wrapped tightly around Rhaenyra's waist on dragonback as they rode Syrax. Aryanna howled with a laugh. It wasn't long when they landed on the ground, Rhaenyra hopped off of Syrax then helped Aryanna down. Rhaenyra petted the golden dragon as to Syrax leant into her mother's touch.

"You're beautiful." Aryanna complimented, petting Syrax on her snout. The she-dragon let out a huff in appreciation. The two girls turned around to make their way to the carriage where Alicent and Nysa waited for them.

"Welcome back, Princess. Lady Aryanna." Ser Harrold Westerling greeted them on his horse. "I trust your ride was pleasant."

"Try not to look too relieved, Ser." Rhaenyra chirped.

"I am relieved. Every time that golden beast brings you back unspoiled, it saves my head from a spike." Ser Harrold mentioned. They were by the carriage where Alicent stood with Nysa. Aryanna gave Nysa a few pets along with Rhaenyra.

"Syrax is growing quickly. She'll soon be as large as Caraxes." Alicent commented.

"That's almost large enough to saddle two." Rhaenyra suggested.

"I believe I'm quite good as a spectator, thank you." Alicent mused. "Plus I have Nysa to give me company when Arya goes with you." She walked inside the carriage followed by Nysa and Aryanna. Soon after Rhaenyra when she saw Syrax go inside the dragon pit. The carriage made its way towards the Red Keep.

The trio made their way to the King and Queen's chambers where Aemma laid on the chaise lounge fanning herself. She had a swollen belly as she was pregnant with her six babe after five miscarriages and it was taking its toll on her.

"Ah, Rhaenyra...Aryanna." Aemma greeted when her eyes landed on the duo. "You know I don't like you—especially both of you to go flying while I'm in this condition."

"You don't like me to go flying while you're in any condition." Rhaenyra quipped. Aemma sent her a look as a handmaiden made her comfortable.

"Your Grace." Alicent says with a smile.

"Good Morrow, Alicent." Aemma said.

"Did you sleep?" Rhaenyra asked as she walked up to her mother.

"I slept." Aemma vaguely confirmed.

"How long?" Rhaenyra inquired.

"I don't need mothering, Rhaenyra." Aemma chided.
