Aryanna was often requested in council meetings as an unbiased member since some of the council members hated a certain someone or subject aside from Viserys, Jaehaeryn, and Lord Corlys whom are fair-minded. She looked out the window from behind Viserys' chair in boredom as she heard Otto Hightower's voice ranting about Daemon whom was in the room sitting next to Jaehaeryn.

"The prince cannot be allowed to act with this kind of unchecked impunity." Otto finished walking in with Viserys.

"Brother." Daemon greeted.

"Daemon." Viserys greeted back as he went to his chair.

"Carry on. You were saying something about my impunity." Daemon remarked. Otto just stared at him as he held his tongue.

"You are to explain your doings with the City Watch." Otto ordered him, changing the subject.

"Your new "gold cloaks" made quite the impression last night, didn't they?" Lord Beesbury asked.

"Did they?" Daemon rhetorically asked.

"The City Watch is not a sword to be wielded at your whim." Otto lectured. "They're an extension of the crown."

"The Watch was enforcing the crown's laws." Daemon defended. "Wouldn't you agree, Lord Strong?"

"My prince, I don't think—"

"Making a spectacle of wanton brutality is hardly in line with our laws." Otto interjected.

"Nobles from every corner of the realm are right now descending from upon King's Landing to my brother's tourney." Daemon mentioned.

"Do you want them mugged, raped, murdered? You mightn't know this unless you left the safety of the Red Keep, but much of King's Landing is seen by the small folk as lawless and terrifying." Jaehaeryn added.

"You're his brother so of course you're going defend him." Otto objected.

"You want an unbiased opinion? Fine." Jaehaeryn replied. "Aryanna." He called out her name without breaking eye contact with Otto. Aryanna turned away from the window and walked up to the table catching their attention. She could see that the council members were intrigued by what she thought except for Otto.

"That much bloodshed...it shouldn't have come to that." Aryanna started, Daemon's eyes cascaded to the table as Otto held a smug look. "Unfortunately, it had to happen. These criminals don't listen to words—they only listen to actions. This should've been done long ago. Now they got the message and surely they'll think before violating a law or anyone else again." She finished.

"Our city should be safe for all its people." Daemon added onto her statement.

"I agree." Viserys chirped. "I just hope you don't have to maim half of my city to achieve this."

"Time will tell." Daemon told him.

"We installed Prince Daemon as commander to promote law and order. The criminal element should fear the City Watch." Lord Corlys surmised.
