𝐀𝐑𝐘𝐀𝐍𝐍𝐀 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐈𝐍 𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐌𝐁𝐄𝐑𝐒 with her bow in her hands readying to release the arrow onto her target which was a mannequin that was often used as target practice hence it's chipped-ragged appearance. The doors to her chambers were opened by Rhaenyra and thank the gods that ser Harrold was by her side to pull her away in time as the arrow soared pass them inserting itself into the left eye of the mannequin.

Aryanna lowered her bow with a sense of pride as she hit bullseye. She turned her head to see the princess and knight giving her crazed looks. "Are you all right, Rhaenyra?"

"If it weren't for ser Harrold I'd be the target instead." Rhaenyra breathed out. "Despite that, nice shot."

"Thank you." Aryanna said, bowing to her in jokes. "Did you need something?"

"Yes." Rhaenyra cleared her throat. "I was hoping you would accompany me to choose a knight for the Kingsguard."

"Of course. I have got nothing better to do." Aryanna replied.

She placed her bow down on her chair before going with Rhaenyra and ser Harrold with Nysa following them. They came up to a balcony with the princess and fair maiden stepping on stools to over look the knights.

"Ser Desmond Caron, a fine knight, Princess. Step forward, ser Desmond." Ser Harrold said as he took a wooden bird figurine positioning it in front of them. Ser Desmond stepped up holding his helmet. "Son of Royce Caron, ser Desmond has proved strong and steady in both the tourney lists and without. While traveling through the Kingswood on his to King's Landing, ser Desmond recently brought a would-be poacher to justice."

There was a moment of silence, Aryanna looked to see Rhaenyra staring at ser Desmond not saying anything.

"You might thank for his leal service, Princess." Otto's voice advised. He must've walked out here during ser Harrold's speech; Aryanna thought.

"We thank you for your loyal service to The Crown, ser." Rhaenyra stated when she found her voice. Ser Desmond nodded before going back to his post which made Aryanna put his figurine back.

"Ser Rymun Mallister. Son of Lord Lymond Mallister of Seagard. Winner of the Cider Hall. He was the last mounted of three-and-twenty knights." Ser Harrold states as he moved ser Rymun's figure. "Ser Rymun was knighted at eight and ten."

"Do any of these knights have combat experience?" Aryanna asked him. He turned to look at her. "Beyond capturing poachers."

"Ser Criston Cole." Ser Harrold announces. The Dornish knight from the tournament approached them. Rhaenyra and Aryanna exchange intrigued glances before focusing on ser Criston. "Son of the steward of the Lord of Blackhaven."

It was silent until Rhaenyra broke it, "Be welcome, ser Criston." He nodded in greeting her. "You saw combat in the Stormlands."

"Dornish marches, Princess." Ser Criston confirmed. "I do right for a year as a foot soldier against the Dornish incursions. Ser Arlan Dondarrion knighted me after we razed two of the watchtowers along the Boneway."
