. . .
After that whole fiasco, the party continued. You've pulled out the map on your fazwatch. It was a map of the utility tunnels and you were currently in a warehouse.
There was a security office nearby. Perhaps there was a security badge to get into parts and service. The warehouse was a long stretched corridor. Yellow and black caution tape was painted onto the sides of the pathway.
Dim industrial lighting were scattered alongside the walls, casting shadows upon fallen tables, occasional shelving units, stacks of pallets and plastic sheets covering non palletized cargo.
The lighting was just enough to see the general silhouettes of your surroundings.
It was a mess. It must have been some sort of dumping ground for extra parts or equipment from the Pizzaplex because there was no coordination of the apparatus.
In a way, it unsettled you. Any one of those utilities could easily fall or become a hazard, and you were surrounded by them.Along the stretch of path, there was a hunched stature.
The dim back lighting drew through its rods and rims, wires and metallic rib frame.
An endoskeleton. The thing that was the inner structure and fundamental of the glamrocks outer shell.
It was still, but not shut off. A red glint came from its ocular constitution. You didn't feel safe, despite the fact that Chica and Roxy were by your side. If the map bot earlier was a threat, you would have been gone, cause those glamrocks couldn't react quick enough to pull you away from the danger.
You came to a stop, shining your flashlight against the Endo.
"What now?" You asked. It was frustrating that you had to come across a challenge along every possible pathway you had taken.
"It's not moving. Maybe we can walk around it?" Chica seemed hopeful, but in reality it wouldn't be that easy.
"Not so fast. Those Endos are encoded with a security programming specialised for capturing unsuspecting trespassers." Roxy stated.
"Wow aren't you a smart one. Look at you using all those big words to confuse the rest of us." You replied sarcastically. You were getting more aggravated as the night went on.
"We are programmed to have a general understanding of Fazbears protocols and utility basics." Roxy replied. Despite the fact that she had such a self centred personality, she was definitely being patient with your irritated persona.
"So how come Chica didn't know that? Aren't you guys supposed to have the same understanding?" You turn to face Chica, but she was staring blankly at the Endo.
"It's because I'm the best!" Roxy shouted.
She then shifted herself into a slouch, holding still with her tail swaying in uneven stiff motion from side to side. You weren't imagining it. They were acting really weird. Was the glitch slowly infecting their backup program?
"Uhhh... GUYS!" You shouted. They snapped out of whatever weird trance they were in.
"Oh my goodness lucky stars. Where you saying something?" Both of their movements loosened back to their fluid natural gestures.
Robotic clanks and a soft whirring noise came from your side and you turn back to see the Endo in the same slouched pose, only, it was much closer to you than before.
So that was its 'specialised security programming', you had to keep your eye on it or it'll catch you. Seemed simple enough."I think we have to keep staring at the Endo." You said keeping your flashlight to it.
The security office was in the direction of that Endo, somehow you needed to bait it into moving out of your path. Ok. Time to play a game of red-light-green-light.
You take a few steps back and turn around. The distant whirring noise from behind you kicked in.
"Rockstar what are you doing?!" Roxy exclaimed. You could hear Chicas nervous jitters.
"Lucky stars that is not a good idea. It is against our programming to interfere with security protecols. It's getting closer to you!"
You turn around quickly, the Endo was indeed closer. You moved back. There were to many utilities on the side of the path, blocking a clear way around it.
"Just tell me when it moves to a point where we can safely walk around it."
"Ohhh *phew*. Glad you had a plan there lucky stars. You had me worried."
You turn around again. The whirring noise started up and you waited for a que from the glamrocks.
"Right you can turn now-"
CRASH
You pivoted vigorously paniced to see the Endo on the floor with its bolts dispersed and a shelving unit that had fallen upon it.
"HAHAHA!" Roxy roared with laughter pointing at the mangled Endo. You and Chica both chucked at the pitiful sight.
It was practically splattered like a squashed insect.
An eyeball rolled towards your foot, the one that was previously attached to its now contorted head."Don't worry buddy, I can relate. These shelves tend to fall often" You said to the pancake of an Endo.
Roxy became hysterical.
Chica placed her hand on your shoulder sympathetically."He went from 3D to 2D real quick." You kept the jokes rolling. Points to you for being the favourite class clown.
Roxy was going through a roller-coaster of laughter. Chica too was snickering.
You all moved around the flat Endo with relative ease, and continued down the corridor.. . .
Eventually, you got to a blocked gate, with the only seeming way around being a vent.
The vent was just large enough to fit you, but not the glamrocks."Is there another way around?" You turned to the two of them.
"We can't get in there. You could..."
"I am not going anywhere alone." You interrupted.
"The office isn't far from the other side of the vent. All you would have to do is get the security badge and come back. We'll be right here Lucky stars."
"We can connect to your Fazwatch and talk to you." Roxy suggested.
"Come on, are you a chicken?" She mocked."Hey!" Chica turned to Roxy offended.
You really wanted to get to Vanessa. This really was your only option. Staring into the vents, surprisingly, it wasn't completely pitch black. There were red caged lights beneath the fans.
A musty draft could be felt and the cold crisp cut of the poorly souldered metal edge was more than enough to tell you that this was a bad idea.
Each smooth-plated rectangular tubing section was ceased by an abrupt wielded lining. This wasn't exactly the safest method for a human. With a sigh, you leaned in head first and crawled your way into the vent, shuffling carefully and lifting your stomach to ensure your belt doesn't get caught on the wielded sections.
"We'll be right here Lucky stars!" You heard a cheerful echo from behind you.
It was cold, and hard to breath with all the dust filling up your limited air space.
Turning the corner was awkward. You had to roll onto your side and push yourself off the wall to move forward. Of course it wasn't easy with all the rough edges sticking out and getting caught on your uniform. What a bother.
Looking down to your hands, the palms all the way down to your elbows were black, covered in dust and dirt. Scraps of torn paper whisked by, flicking the tips of your ears and the taste of the musty vent became prominent at the back of your throat.
You were moving slowly, but there was no rush. That was, until you heard mechanic gears and clicking coming from behind you.
