Chapter 27: Freddy. help please?

It was an all-too-familiar scene, wasn't it? The sounds of metallic thumping being heard inches away from you as you hid under the only concealed space under the office desk.
The thin cardboards, so frail, being the only thing hiding you from  the murderous anamatronics that were before you.

"You can hide. But you can't hide."

They were words that you were no longer listening to, because the thunderous roar of your own heart racing drowned them out.

Your arms felt numb and you could feel the tag of your sweaty shirt stick to your back, making awkward sounds as you shuffled and swayed.

The footsteps got louder and then distant as Monty circled the room.

Just what was Freddy doing right now?! Both Chica and Roxy have gone glitched and Monty is circling the room.
He was definitely going to get an earful about this lacklustre 'protection' performance of his.
And just as you were silently cursing him, Freddy finally spoke up,
"Monty. Friend. This behaviour. It is not yours. You are much better than this."

Seriously?! That was the best he could do?! The 'this isn't you' talk? 
You cringed as quietly as you could.

It was difficult to see through your little peek hole, but by the sounds of it, Monty was unfazed by Freddy's sincere attempt to help him.
The sounds of metalic thumps continued to circle the room.

"SCREEEOOOOOACHH!"
"Where are you?!"

And by the sounds of that, Chica and Roxy have also reverted back to their 'hunting mode'. Though, it couldn't be a coincidence that they kept glitching together at the same time. There must some external trigger for it.

"Friends please..." Freddy pleaded. All to no avail. Clearly his 'talk it out' method isn't working and at this rate, you'll all be stuck here for the rest of the night.

Footsteps approached, but really close this time. And you froze up.
"Do not worry. It is me." Freddy whispered.

FOR THE LOVE OF EVETHING THAT IS HOLY, WHAT IS HE DOING?!??!!
He is just straight up revealing and exposing your hiding spot right now!

"Do not worry. They cannot detect your presence until they see you. I am not of their main target to find. So I am not drawing their attention. It seems that my words cannot persuade them. So I must find a way to lure them out of the room. I could possibly trigger a staff bot outside which would divert their attention to..."

He was talking and talking but none of what he was saying was getting through your head. So much was happening and you couldn't concentrate.
"Freddy I don't care what you do, just do it fast because I'm about to pass out from emotional and physical exhaustion" You whispered back, hoping he would take the hint and get lost.
Seriously, if Roxy still had her ocular upgrade, you would be dead.

"Alright. I will lure them away from you. Stay safe Superstar!" Freddy said relatively loudly out of excitement and now the other anamatronics were fixated on your corner of the room.
At this point you were going to give him a trip to the kitchens garbage compacter and get over with it.

"Ohoho. It seems that I've drawn some attention. I shall go look for the employee elsewhere friends." Freddy cheerfully excused himself.
They remained unfazed and the thumping footsteps continued to circle the room.
