Green was lying there, blood smeared all over his suit. It was a grotesque scene I did not want to look at any longer, yet my body denied me the release of turning my head away. Instead, my eyes fixated onto the little, slumped up body in the corner, tears pricking the corners of my eyes as they unwaveringly focused onto the immense amount of blood covering green.

I heard footsteps behind me, the I saw brown rushing into my point of view before stiffening aswell. After a few seconds tho, he came to his senses and shook his head, rushing to green's side, taking off his helmet and feverishly placing two fingers at the nape of his neck to check for a pulse. After what feels like eternity, he finally looks up tho, picking up Green and rushing out of the room. Having been snapped out of my daze, I rushed after them, pursuing brown as he entered med bay and placed green gingerly onto one of the beds, quickly getting a syringe, opening his suit and pulling out his arm, then plucking the syringe into it and emptying it.

"What- what's going on?" I asked confused, looking at brown with a lost face. I knew close to nothing about medical service and was at a loss as to understand what was going on and what I needed to do.

"There's a pulse, he's still alive!" Brown voiced, getting an IV-drip and hoocking him up to it by sliding the thin tube into his arm, which replaced the syringe he quickly pulled out.

After he made sure the tube was in the correct spot, he connected the other end of the tube to the IV-drip, opening the valve so the liquid can flow down. Then, he checked for the pulse again.

"He's stable now" Brown sighed relieved, patting green on the head with a contemplated smile.

"Thank heavens..." I sighed relieved, looking at green who was lying there like he was sleeping peacfully.

Fighting the urge to go over and gently brush some hair out of his face and caress the top of his head, I decided to pull over a chair and sit down next to him instead. Brown gave me a nod, then left us alone. I smiled after him and just as the door closed behind him, I grabbed at my arm that got cut some time ago, my face contorting into a pained and agonized grimace. I was starting to act up again and hurt like hell. I sat there by green, clutching at my arm whilst trying to be as quiet as possible as I squirmed in my chair. Deciding that it was easier to stand up and pace than to keep still, I stood up, going over to the medkit to change my bandages which were seeped through with crimson.

I plucked at the knot until it finally eased up and I could start unwrapping the bandages. I kept unwrapping it until I saw the first patch of skin. And 'Oh. My. God. WHAT IS THIS?!' I thought panicked, the other end of the bandage slipping from my grasp and being left to dangle from the rest of it, which was still wrapped around my hand.. The colour and texture of skin that met my gaze was definitely not mine. It has to be of different origin. It was all patchy and rough and soft at some spots and oddly discolored, the skin being purple-bluish instead of its original, paler colour. Another thing I took note of was that my fingers were not... finger... anymore. They were limply hanging there, me being unable to move them.

'It was weird... funny even, how I was able to normally use them and now that the bandage isn't intact anymore they are basically useless! Wait... that's just it! I just have to keep it on to hide whatever is going on with my hand, AND to be able to use my fingers properly.' Ripping the rest off, I fist bumped the air a little triumphantly, grabbing another, fresh set of bandages.

Now that I was all calm again and my hand wasn't pounding with pain anymore, I sat back down, my mind going to black. 'Now that I think about it, where could he be? He was with green all along, so he should have been with him, yet he wasn't. Maybe he's it and just made green foolishly follow him in order to get an aliby! Or perhaps he also was met with a similar fate as green. No, in that case we'd need to go look for him!'

** CRASH **

Stunned out of my thoughts, I looked up to see the door which was slammed open, only to see black standing there, worry written all over his face. 'Well, guess I was worrying over nothing.' I rolled my eyes, then shushed him and nodded at green to tell him that he was asleep.

He managed to spare me a short glance, then quietly came over to green's side, next to me. Sighing I sat up and decided to leave them alone. 'Actually, I didn't want to leave them alone, it was like I was giving up on green so easily. No, I actually wanted to look at my hand again, considering nothing changed, that is. Going to upper engine, down to reactor and entering said room, I moved to hide behind the big construction of the reactor, sitting down for further protection. Basically to keep myself out of sight.
