Hades sat on the armchair as Kim and Persephone sat on the couch, drinking coffee. "Why did you two go behind my back? You're her mothers." Hades asks them, still mad.
"Because she deserves to have freedom." Kim tells him. "Hazel is tired of only going between underworld and here. She hasn't gone to school because of this arrangement and she has never had any friends."
"But we know she's safe." Hades argued.
"But she's not happy." Persephone says.
"But, at least I knew she wasn't going to get hurt." Hades replies.
"I'd rather Hazel stay at the camp." Kim tells him.
"Why? They train with actual swords and arrows and she could get hurt." Hades says. "Why is that better than her living here?"
"Greg is heavily drinking again." Kim tells him. Hades looks at her and pauses. "It's bad enough that he's violent when he's drunk and I don't want Hazel to get involved with it. Exceptionally if she could get hurt."
"Not only that, but there has been monsters lurking around New York." Persephone tells him. "At least at that camp we know that the barrier will keep her safe."
"But someone could still kill her." Hades says. "What's going to happen when everyone finds out that she's my daughter? They either ignore her, exclude her or hurt her. I don't want her to get hurt. Not after Bianca and Nico."
"Hazel's not Bianca or Nico, Hades. Please, she needs to have some sort of freedom in this world." Kim argues back.
"But she-" Hades got cut off by Kim.
"Will be completely fine." Kim tells him. "Let her make friends, have some fun. I'd rather that than her sitting in her room all day board and alone."
Hades sighs and was about to say something when the front door opens and slams shut. The three adults look at the man that just entered the room. "Hello Greg." Kim says.
"What is this? A house party." Greg says, extremely drunk. "Who ate these people?"
"It's Hazel's dad and step-mum. We're just talking about her." Kim explains.
"A family meeting. Well should I be invited?" Greg says laughing. "No, I'm kidding. That girl is no child of mine."
"Really, him?" Peresphone asks Kim in a hushed tone.
Greg looks at Hades, not know who he really is. "So, you must be her father." Greg says nodding. "Here to say your keeping that basterd child."
"What did you just call her?" Hades says calmly.
"Well you two weren't married." Greg says.
"Greg, that's enough." Kim tell him.
Greg then looks at Kim and waves his hand around. "Ohhh I see. You're sticking up for the bitch." Hades jumps up from his chair and charges at Greg, punches him in the face.
