Y/N as quietly as she could tip-toed behind the elf ducking behind a tree everytime she thought he might see her. He soon stopped at a fountain where he let the water run over his knuckles. Y/N just watched him from behind a stone pillar.
"I know you're there." Said the elf, Y/N's breathing came to a halt and her eyes went wide. His voice was as beautiful as he was. "You can come out" he said amused, Y/N sheepishly emerged from behind the stone pillar.
"You're Lady Galadriel and Lord Celeborns daughter are you not?" The elf inquired to which Y/N shyly nodded. "Do you speak?" he asked to which Y/N yet again nodded and the elf laughed.
"My name is Legolas Greenleaf of the Woodland Realm" the elf introduced himself. "I'm Y/N of Lothlórien" Y/N replied, "so she does speak!" Legolas exclaimed to which Y/N smiled slightly and came closer to Legolas.
"Why were you following me?" Legolas asked, Y/N shrugged "I get bored... and nosey.." Y/N said to which Legolas giggled and nodded. "So you're a prince?" Y/N asked trying to uphold the conversation. Legolas nodded "My father is King Thranduil" Legolas answered "he's cold outwardly but if you're close to him he's not so bad" Legolas explained as Y/N leaned against the fountain.
"So you're a princess?" Legolas copied making Y/N giggle and blush a little "yes.. I guess you could say that" Y/N replied. Legolas laughed "what do you mean 'you guess'?" Legolas asked, Y/N replied with a shocked expression, couldn't he tell?
"Well I figured you knew I was-"
"A princess?"
"No"
"Then what?" Legolas asked
"A... well a human" Y/N confessed to which Legolas bursted out laughing "what's so funny?" Y/N asked. Legolas calmed his laughing "of course I know you're a human!" Legolas exclaimed still holding back chortles. Y/N rolled her eyes "it's not that funny" Y/N replied even though she was trying not to laugh herself from Legolas' contagious laughter.
"So what you're not surprised?" Y/N asked "of course not just about everyone in Middle Earth knows about Lady Galadriels human daughter" Legolas replied. Y/N sighed as she went to sit on a nearby bench. "I hate having to stand next to them at parties and important meetings like the one we just had in the throne room a moment earlier. It's so painfully obvious that I'm just... well.. a human" Y/N said as Legolas went to stand in front of her his lower back leaned against the stone of the fountain.
"I'm not as graceful, or as well spoken, or as effortlessly... sparkly.." Y/N stuttered "sparkly?" Legolas repeated "yeah you know..."
"I don't know"
"Yes you do! You know like... glowy!"
"Glowy?"
"Oh whatever.." Y/N retorted now flustered which greatly amused Legolas.
"Or as beautiful.." Y/N went on but was quickly cut short by Legolas "woah, woah, woah yes to all the other things but whoever says you're not beautiful must only behold orcs" Legolas said
Y/N didn't know how to react, she'd just been called beautiful but also clumsy, ignorant and... not sparkly.. all in the same breath. "Thanks?" Y/N replied.
"Why did that sound unsure?" Legolas asked "well you said I'm beautiful but then agreed to me being ignorant, clumsy and not sparkly" Y/N said
"I never said you were ignorant" Legolas retorted
"Well you didn't disagree when I said I wasn't eloquent"
"You're not eloquent"
"See you just did it!"
"No I didn't"
"Yes you did"
"No I didn't"
"Yes you did"
"How so?"
"You said I wasn't eloquent" Y/N reminded him
"You're not but you're not ignorant" Legolas replied leaving Y/N confused.
"So what am I?" Y/N asked
"You're definitely clumsy I saw you trip on air while you were following me around" Legolas said as he stepped closer to Y/N. "You're not eloquent because you use grammar like 'glowish' and 'sparkly'" Legolas added.
"Glowy" Y/N corrected under her breath.
"And you're the most beautiful thing I've ever beheld in my 2,931 years" Legolas finished as he knelt down in front of Y/N, looking deeply into her E/C orbs.
Y/N's cheeks flushed pink and Legolas smirked slightly. "So why are you all even here? What's the quest my mother spoke of?" Y/N asked trying to break the tension.
Legolas sat on the bench next to Y/N. "It's a long story.." Legolas said "well we have all night" Y/N said.
