On they sailed away from Lórein. Y/N watched as her mother waved goodbye from the banks of her home. *Will I ever see home again?* Y/N thought.

The Fellowship sailed down the Great River, Anduin. Y/N sat quietly next to Legolas who was keeping an eye out for any enemies. "What made you decide to come with us?" Legolas asked Y/N, Y/N thought for a moment. "I'm a part of this world too am I not?" Asked Y/N rhetorically. Legolas raised his eyebrows in agreeance. "One of the more... unconventional parts... but a part no less" Legolas replied, Y/N didn't know wether to take offense at that or not.

"Was that meant to be backhanded?" Y/N asked and Legolas laughed and shook his head. "No not at all" he answered "honestly... we're all unconventional parts of this world in our own respect" Legolas pointed out. Y/N couldn't argue with that logic.

Soon they sailed past these massive statues of two men, armor clad and regal. Y/N noticed Aragorn look upon the gargantuan masterpieces in utter amazement. It truly was a sight to be beheld.

Aragorn decided to shore the boats and take a rest, to which Gimli replied "recover my strength?!" As if it was a bogus concept. Y/N gladly took the offer though, she could tell this quest would take a toll on her. Being raised a princess didn't help either, she'd never had to lift a finger now here she was saving the world.

"Y/N" Aragorn addressed and Y/N met his eyes, "you told us you're savvy on every nook and cranny of Middle Earth" Aragorn said. "Yes" Y/N confirmed, "then let's put those talents to use, shall we go toward Mordor or make for the safety of Minis Tirith?" Aragorn asked. Y/N took a deep breath and thought for a moment.

"Minis Tirith definitely is the safer option but.. Mordor is where we're trying to get" Y/N said. Y/N and Aragorn speculated on what to do while Boromir went to gather fire wood.

Frodo was out walking trying to clear his mind when Boromir appeared startling Frodo. "None of you should wander alone" Boromir said as he picked up a stick "you least of all so much depends on you" Boromir added as Frodo stared at him. "Frodo?" Boromir questioned noticing Frodo looked perplexed and almost irritated.

Boromir stepped closer "I know why you seek solitude you suffer I see it day by day. You sure you do not suffer needlessly?" Questioned Boromir. "There are other ways Frodo other paths that we might take".

"I know what you would say, and it would seem like wisdom but for the warning in my heart" Frodo finally spoke up.

"Warning?" Boromir inquired as he took a step forward making Frodo back away. "Against what?" Boromir asked as Frodo continued to try and distance himself. "We're all afraid Frodo, but to let that fear drive us to destroy what hope we have don't you see that is madness?" Boromir said as he started to look a little more unhinged.

"There is no other way" Frodo said matter of factly.

"I ask only for the strength to defend my people!" Boromir snapped and threw down the firewood he'd collected.

"If you won't but lend me the ring" Boromir said as he advanced toward Frodo.

"No" Frodo said taking a step back.

"Why do you recoil I am no thief" Boromir defended.

"You are not yourself" Frodo replied sternly.

"What chance do you think you have? They will find you they will take the ring! And you will beg for death before the end!" Boromir shouted.

Frodo started to walk away "FOOL!" Boromir hissed and started to go after Frodo. "It could've been mine! It should be mine! Give it to me!" Boromir demanded as he started to attack Frodo.
