Eddie's POV

“Wait what did Robin say when she was high?” Steve asked and Nancy gave him a look. “She said she had a crush on me, and that she's liked me since the 6th grade.” Robin looked embarrassed.

Carol noticed this and started rubbing Robin's back gently. Robin smiled softly, Nancy got up and went over to Robin. She hugged her tightly and smiled.

“I like you too Rob.” Nancy muttered. I watched everything, I didn't say anything incase I ruined the moment. I realized that if Chrissy was still here she was probably looking for me.

“Sorry, but I have to go.” I mumbled, Steve turned his attention towards me and grabbed my arm as I got up. “Why? Why cant you stay?” I looked at Steve and got ready to say something.

But Chrissy appeared in the doorframe.

“Shit Ed's! What are you doing up here?” She said, looking around at everyone in the room. I sighed before answering, “We were just playing a game.”

She looked at Steve then at me. “Did- did he touch you?” “What the fu- Chrissy No, he didn't touch me. Y'all I'm so sorry.” I pushed Chrissy out the room and went downstairs with her.

We left and went home for the night.

Sunday, 2 days after the party.

I hadn't talked to Steve since the party. I've just layed in my bed, my uncle doesn't seem to really care. I've done this multiple times before and he doesn't know how to fix it.

Chrissy does, but I haven't seen her since I took her home on the night of the party. She's probably chilling out with the girl from the party, I think her name was Vicky.

I heard the doorbell ring and thought it might be Chrissy, I got up and went to the side door because no one ever goes to the front door. I lifted the blinds and saw Steve.

I opened the door, I said “What the fuck are you doing here?” He looked at my messy bun and then at me. “Well- I wanted to invite you to hung out with me and the group.” He mumbled.

He scratched his neck waiting for my reply, “Where are y'all gonna go?” I asked. “We were gonna go to the arcade and try to beat Henderson's score on dig dug. It sounds childish I know.”

I nodded my head and grabbed my boots, putting them on and then going outside with Steve. The group was waiting outside my house in Tommy's car.

Steve noticed it was starting to rain and grabbed my hand as he ran over to the car. I blushed but then realized Tommy was staring at me with jealousy. I quickly hid my face and got in the car.

“Will! Come on! I didn't mean it!” I heard as we entered through the front doors. I saw some of the kids from my DnD club, one of them being Henderson and the rest of them being his friends.

We went over to the dig dug machine and Tommy took the first turn, he got a score of 1392 and then died. Everyone kept taking turns and none of them got even close to Dustins score.

They all just kept taking turns without offering me one and I eventually excused myself to go to the restroom. I hid in the stall so that I could think about some things.

I mean, did I even wanna hang out with Steve's gang? Tommy seemed to like Steve and what if they were dating? I didn't wanna put myself out there if he was already dating someone.

I heard the bathroom door swing open and I saw Steve through the crack in the stall door, “Ed's?” his soft voice echoed. I was gonna stay quiet but he had seen my boots from under the stall door.

“Dude, what are you doing in there?" He asked, I'd already been in here for 10 minutes so it was expected that he'd ask. “Nothing, don't worry about it. I just have a question though.” I said.

“Ask away!” I sighed and then asked, “Are you and Tommy dating? He gives me a weird look whenever I'm around you-” Steve cut me off, “Woah, no we're not dating. Mind opening the door tho?”

I opened the stall door and Steve walked in with me. He shut the stall behind him and locked it. “Listen, Tommy has a thing for me. But I like someone else, a boy. I actually kinda hate myself for it. But ya know, this boy. The one that I like, he's someone that I didn't even talk to until now and i don't even know why. Maybe it's because Tommy would have made fun of me for it or because I won't be prom king. It's stupid, because when I think about it. I should have been hanging out with this boy the whole time. First of all, he's hilarious, he's so funny. I feel like, this week, I have laughed harder then I have laughed in a really long time. And he's smart, way smarter then me. You know, he's unlike anyone I've ever met before...”

I stared at Steve, I could tell he was talking about me. “Don't dodge." I mumbled, “What?" Steve asked. I pushed his hands against the stall door and kissed him. He kissed back.

His lips were softer then I imagined. We heard Tommy come into the bathroom and we pulled away. Steve held in a chuckle and so did i. We wondered what he would do if he found out what we were doing.
