Steve Harrington and Tommy Hagan have been dating for three months. Tommy had dumped his ex-girlfriend, Carol at her great aunt's funeral and a week later, got with a very drunk
Steve at a Halloween party.

The students had said some pretty nasty things about the two boys, Tommy always beat the shit out of them if he heard it. Steve on the other hand didn't care about the comments. He thought that Tommy just overreacted.

Steve had begun hanging out with Robin Buckley and Eddie Munson, also known as the 'Freaks' of Hawkins high. Steve was lucky that he and Tommy didn't have that title. But, Steve still hung out with the duo.

They understood him, better then Tommy did. And Tommy didn't like them for that reason, he didn't like that Steve hung out with them more then he hung out with him. So he forced Steve to stay away from them.

And if he didn't.. Bad things would happen.

Things Steve didn't want to happen, things he'd try to stop. But he never could. So when graduation came he got as much jobs as he could to stay away from Tommy. He worked at Family Video, Scoops Ahoy, and Palace Arcade.

He couldn't stand being around Tommy anymore, he couldn't stand walking home to their apartment and seeing Tommy waiting for him and then Tommy beating the shit out of him. He didn't wanna be with Tommy.

Yet he didn't have a choice.

One day, Eddie walked into Scoops Ahoy looking for a job. He needed extra money for his rent and thought scooping ice cream would be easier then anything else. Eddie got the job and ended up getting the same shift as Steve.

Steve was surprised when he saw Eddie the next day at the counter, he was wearing the Scoops Ahoy uniform but he was wearing his vest over it, the one he wore in high school. Steve waved at Eddie and went to put on his uniform.

Steve and Eddie had spent the entire afternoon laughing and joking around with each other when they didn't have customers. Steve realized that it was getting close to 4pm and that he had to get ready to go to the arcade.

He changed out of his uniform and waved bye to Eddie, who's shift was longer then his. As he left the shop he saw Tommy sitting on a bench near the huge fountain in the middle of the mall. “Hey Dear!” Steve said, happy.

Tommy turned slowly turned his attention to Steve and sat up, walking over to Steve. He slapped him, “Dont you fucking dare, your fucking around with the freak again aren't you? You fucking slut.” Tommy spat.

Steve rubbed his cheek and saw Eddie looking at them from inside the shop. Eddie had a look of anger on his face. He wanted to help Steve, Steve could tell. But Eddie knew how violent Tommy was and so did Steve.

That's why Steve was grateful that Eddie didn't try and help him. It wouldn't have worked.

Tommy dragged Steve out of the building and took him to his car. Tommy drove them to their apartment and dragged him to their room. Tommy loosened his grip on Steve when he threw Steve against wall.

“Why was he there. Why was he even standing next to you..?!” Tommy continued yelling at Steve while he cried, Steve had enough and pulled out of Tommys grip. He punched Tommy in the side and grabbed the car keys.

He flipped Tommy off and left.

Steve remembered where Eddie lived and drove there. He already knew that Eddie would help him. Eddie is the nicest person that Steve has ever met. Steve actually had a crush on Eddie in high school. And seeing him again has made the feelings flow back.

Steve wished he had dated Eddie instead of Tommy.

He looked at the bruises that were caused by Tommy's brutal grip. Steve wondered if Tommy ever hurt Carol. If he did then it would make sense as to why she always wore pants and long sleeves. He sighed and stopped the car.

Steve was now at Eddie's trailer, his shift was surely over by now.

He got out of the car and walked up to the side door, Eddie never answered the front door. He said to always knock on the side door so that he knows that you're not some stranger trying to rob him.

He knocked a few times and then Eddie came to the door, he was in pajama pants and only that. He wasn't wearing a shirt and Steve could see his chest, Steve stared for a few seconds and then spoke. “Sorry i- um..”

Eddie pulled Steve inside, “He hurt you did he? I'm so sorry I didn't help at the Mall. But I would have made it worse, wouldn't i?” Eddie wrapped his arms around Steve and pulled him into a warm hug.

Steve was surprised at first but then smiled and hugged Eddie back. Eddie pulled away and started looking at Steve to see if he was bleeding. Because if he was, then Eddie would murder Tommy. Eddie cared about Steve alot.

And Steve knew this, he always has.

Steve saw the look in Eddie's eyes, he looked like he was about to start crying just from seeing the amount of bruises on Steve. And that's when Steve kissed him, Eddie kissed back for a few seconds and then pulled away.

“Steve i- Are you sure..?” Eddie asked, Steve nodded. Eddie put his hands behind Steve's head and pulling him closer, reconnecting their lips. He picked Steve up and took him to his bedroom. He sat Steve down onto the bed and took off his shirt.

Eddie finishing put his clothes back on and then crouched in front of Steve to kiss his forehead, “Listen, I'll get you away from him okay?” he used his thumb to move the hair out of Steve's face as he carressed Steve's cheek with his other hand.

He heard a knock come from the front door and got up to check it. Steve heard the front door open and then someone screamed, “Where the FUCK is he?!” Steve knew it was Tommy and quickly got up to put the rest of his clothes on.

Steve then slammed Eddie's bedroom door and layed against it so he couldn't open it. Tommy heard the door slam and yelled, “Steve!” Steve heard him approach the door. “Come on hun, I didn't mean to do it. It was an accident.”

Eddie tried kicking him out but Tommy wouldn't budge. “Tommy go away. I hate you. We're over.” Steve sniffled, wiping his tears. “Oh Steve... You don't mean that. You know it was an accident.” “Get out." Steve said getting up and opening the door.

Timmy looked at Steve, noticing the light hickeys that Eddie had left. He looked at Eddie and then mumbled, “I knew it, you are a fucking slut.” he spat in Steve's face and then left. “Don't worry, we'll make sure he gets what he deserves..”

Eddie hugged Steve and he nodded.

Tommy was put in jail, thanks to the help of Carol, Steve and Eddie. Steve and Eddie also met up with Robin and her girlfriend, Nancy. Who also announced their engagement to the party. Yup that's right, they got engaged.
