"Buona Sera signora.""I told you not to call me that, right?"
I heard Kent's silent gasps. I can see his reflection from a glass pane up here the balcony of my sullen white boring room. I thought I needed an air, to breathe. Aside from the suffocation I feel like having every 5 or 30 minutes, I started having dreams. If I'll let myself be smart enough, sensitive enough, It seems like those dreams were pieces of my old memory.
Still painful as it is.
"Vira.. You called for me?"
Out of everyone here, I thought there are 3 people who I can trust that won't give me shit. That is Manang Lolita, My Ate Azure, And My Butler Kent. I heard Ate Azure already and dismissing her multiple times, I dont know what to say or do already.
"If the story remains persistent, then I shall do nothing else but to believe in it." I faced my butler who's face is now soft with pity. He quickly cleared his throat and fixed his annoying face. I know by now he knows clearly what I want, what I know and what he should say.
"Aren't you moving too fast with everything, Vira?"
I cackled a grin and shake my head. "No! I mean-" I turned to get the bouquets of sunflower and tulips by the shop and stored them properly at the back seat. "I've never been too sure in my life Kent!"
At that dream I feel fuzzy and.. happy. Like I'm not scared of anything and just wanted to do the thing I'm about to do without any doubt.
"And since my father is not here, I'm expecting you to stand in behalf of him." I closed the car doors and cling to him with a cheeky soft smile. "Come il modo in cui mio padre si fiderebbe della decisione di sua figlia. (Like how my papa would trust his daughter's decisions)"
He looked at me. Like how my father would look every time I try to persuade him with the things I want to do. I really wish my father was here though.. but having Kent would be the closest I can get. I heard him sigh, I know I'm irresistable. He just nodded, "Molto bene, signora. (Very well.)"
"Isa pang signora mo talaga, papauwiin kita sainyo."
I got in quickly at the passenger seat. It's awfully early in France and we're going around because I want to et married and tied up already. I never really liked going out by myself and since I was a kid, my sister always wants me to have a chaperone when I go. "We better hurry!! I'll get that wedding gowns pa!"
That's all that happened before I woke up, panting and in beads of sweat.
"You always say that you loathe liars and cheaters." I turned my gazes back up the beautiful night sky. I felt Kent walking closer to me but maintaining a good distance behind my back. "As far as I know, there are nothing, no one in disguise around you. All you've heard is the truth and the truth only-"
"Shouldn't I know that?" I looked at him. A piercing shot of look that caught him off guard. I sighed, I'm tired treating everyone a piece of shit, second guessing myself. "Pagod na akong mangapa sa kung ano ba dapat na gawin, ano ba dapat yung ginagawa ko. Ano ba ako sayo? kay Daehan? Sa lahat ng taong nakapaligid sakin!!"
"Elvira.. You always have your own values and morals. That is what made you, you." A quick deep breath and he pats my shoulders as he walk beside me. This old man also looked up at the sky and the moon that made me mirror his actions even though I'm overflowing with questions. "The great, wise 7 year old Elvira wouldn't believe her mother when she was read fiction child story books. You would say, 'Do they have proofs that animals can talk? Or that a single little ant can carry a whole 5 inch leaf by itself?' And that's just the Ant and the Grasshopper fable."
