Just my luck...the moment I started to leave...I got a message on my com-link. With a slight huff of annoyance, I answered the com-link...making sure that whoever was on the other end didn't notice my slight annoyance at their call.
~~~
"Padawan Amidalla, you are needed in the council chambers immediately." The voice of a temple droid seemed to inform me before the connection on the com-link was severed.
Damn it...what've I done this time...? I seemed to ask myself as I thought over any and all possibilities. I didn't lose my sabers...they were on my belt. They don't know about Obi-wan and me seeing as how we only show our affection behind closed doors. Unless...do they...? I seemed to question as I thought it over. No...there's no way. He's currently off-world and has been for nearly a week and in all that time...I haven't had a moment to sit down and call him. So...if they knew...I would've already known they knew by now. And I highly doubt they know about Nadia...I've never even spoken a word about her.
Immediately. That droid's words filled my head.
Right.... I told myself before I left the training room and headed for the council chambers.
~~~
The door to the council chambers opened of its own accord before I entered the room...only to find it completely void of any and all Jedi Masters. Although, I could still sense them in the room even if I couldn't see them. "H-Hello...?" I called out into the empty room as I neared the room's center. "Masters...? You called...?"
The room's scenery seemed to change, akin to how Ashlyn and Nadia had changed the space in that void to shape it into a place from their memories. The room changed from being inside on Coruscant to that familiar white void I had met both Ashlyn and Nadia in.
A figure then appeared in front of me, Ashlyn. What is she doing here...? What am I doing here...? I wasn't meditating or anything...I just walked into a room. Wait...the Jedi council room...the council wasn't there but I could sense their presence within the room. Is this...?
"It would seem they think you ready for the trials," Ashlyn informed me. "And you are."
"Even though you've much to learn." Nadia appeared next to Ashlyn, her eyes a light green.
"We're always learning new things," Ashlyn told Nadia.
"Can they...do they know you're here...?" I asked the two of them.
"If they knew I was here...my eyes wouldn't be green...now would they...?" Nadia seemed to snap at me. "I honestly don't know how you two can stand constantly denying a part of yourself...."
"You're just used to being able to do what you want," Ashlyn informed Nadia.
Nadia slightly shook her head. "It's so much easier that way...." Nadia stated.
"Easier isn't always better," Ashlyn stated.
"But why are you two here...?" I questioned them.
"Who else to keep an eye on your trials...?" Ashlyn seemed to ask me. "Your Master asked me to as nobody out there can look into here quite like we can."
"You've been talking to Master Yoda...?" I questioned her.
"In his visions...he's quite strong in the Force for a non Grey Jedi to contact me." Ashlyn just stated. "Now...shall we begin...?"
With that, the scenery changed to that of the Jedi Temple on Tython but the three of us were completely alone. There wasn't anyone else here.
"Now...remember how I once told you that if we were dodging I'd be sending training droids after you...?" Ashlyn asked me.
That was so long ago...but I do remember that. That was the first time Ashlyn had tried to get me to create a force barrier. "Yes," I informed her.
"Alright...about that," Ashlyn stated before some training droids appeared around me...six of them. They were small, hovered, and could shoot at me. "Oh...you won't need these." With that, she used the Force to confiscate my lightsabers.
"H-hey...!" I told her.
"You may use anything but your sabers." Ashlyn just seemed to say as she ignored my protests.
Not that I could protest for long before the training droids came to life, all shooting me at once. I quickly jumped out of the way, the shots landing on the ground where I had just been standing. I looked at the ground, the burn marks there...that was a close one. Something tells me the shots weren't set for stun.
Great.
I dodged another training droid, setting up a quick barrier in front of me to catch the fire as I backflipped away from my spot once more. The barrier fizzled out as I lost my concentration on it.
My mind seemed to backtrack...what was that ability I'd tried to use that one time...? The one that sent me flying into the wall of the ship when Obi-wan and I first went to Naboo to find Ashlyn...?
Am I even allowed to attack the droids...? I wondered to myself. This seems to be a trial focused on defense...wait...no.... Ashlyn said I was allowed to use anything but my lightsabers...? So does that mean...?
A training droid managed to sneak up from behind me, and in my distraction, shot a flurry of bolts at me. I didn't manage to dodge in time as some of them caught my back. I yelled out in pain...yeah...so not set on stun.
"Are you trying to do two trials at once...?" I heard Ashlyn question me.
"Not really," I informed her as I dodged to rest of the droids' fire. Now...where was I...? I seemed to ask myself before my line of thought caught back up.
I concentrated my energy in my hands as I focused on the barrier ability. You should be able to mold it...I remember Ashlyn once telling me such. Although, I haven't tried to since that mishap on the ship...but...I've grown since then.
I made a small, sphere-like, ball comprised of the same energy as the force barrier. I slightly smiled at my success. I sent the ball flying towards the droids, the moment it hit one...waves of the force sprung out as it attacked the other droids, sending them flying and hitting any nearby trees or posts. They were thoroughly dismantled.
Both Ashlyn and Nadia seemed to be in slight awe at what I'd done. Perhaps seeing as how neither one of them showed me that ability. I only knew of it from reading Ashlyn's holocron.
