Tess was still standing beside tun with his head lowered. Tun slowly turned to tess.

"We are hopeless here as we don't have anyone other than us... I am not forgiving you tess. What you did to me will never be forgotten. But I'm willing to work with you to go back"

"Do you mean you know how we can go back? "

"Maybe"

"What is it?"

"Have you ever read the book called ' alternative universe'? "

Tess was silent and tun knew that tess has never touched books to read by Himself.

"It said that if someone travels the universe they need to find a portkey. Kinda like a soulmate. That portkey needs to be a universe traveller too and they need to have similarities. "

"We were best friends before" tess could see the 2+2 coming together

"We had a lot of things in common"

"We are both universe travellers "

"We might be each other's portkey," tun said and walked out of the kitchen without waiting for tess to say something.

"Hey but what if there are other universe travellers and you are not my portkey?"

" then I hope You'll never find your portkey and die here "

Tess left tun's apartment after some more arguments. They decided to stick together for the time being.

Tess came home and searched for jobs. Talay's mom kept asking him to find a job as she and his brother are having a hard time earning. His phone rang and he got startled. He picked up the phone and it was Talay's friend joe.

"Dude. You need a job right?"

" hmm"

"I have a job for you. One of my friends told me about this job and I think this is an awesome job for you. "

"What is the job?"

"You'll know tomorrow. Meet you at the river bank"

Joe hung up. Tess got so mad that he almost threw the phone away. Then he remembered that he is not rich anymore.

"FUCKING SHIT"

tess yelled while holding his phone in his hand as if joe will listen. And his mom downstairs got worried about his son's weird behaviour.

"Where did my calm and innocent talay go? Is he that frustrated because of job hunting? "

She sighed sadly. She missed her son. Her talay never yelled. Never cursed. The talay she gave birth to was soft and cute. This talay is reckless.

The next day Tess woke up hearing his phone ring. He picked it up without seeing the name.

"Dude. Get ready I'm coming to pick you up"

"Who is this?"

"The fuck? This is joe your only friend. "

Tess hang up feeling irritated. This joe guy was getting on his last nerves. He got ready and got downstairs. He saw mom making a curry. This whole concept of curry was really weird for him. He didn't have these things in his universe. His mom served him food. But he didn't feel like eating.

"Why aren't you eating baby?"

"Mom... It's fish... I don't want to eat it."

"Why? It's your favourite right? That's why I make it"

Tess was a bit taken aback. His mom never cared for him this much. So it felt weird. He didn't want to hurt her so he made some excuses.

"I think my taste buds changed... I don't feel like eating these days."

"Okay. What do you want I'll make it for you"
His mom got up. Even though tess never thought of people's feelings he didn't want to make someone else's mom work for him. He ran after her and stopped her from entering the Kitchen.

" mom I'll eat outside with joe"

His mom put her hand on his face and looked worried.

"Why does my baby doesn't act like before? Are you stressed? You don't need to work we'll figure it out. Just be happy"

These words touched the little boy in tess. He almost teared up thinking about his real family. His family will never say these words to him even though they are rich. Rich families only want to flex. He also became a flex to his parents. But this middle-class family said he doesn't need to work. He just needs to be happy. He could feel his tears breaking through the waterline of his eyes.

"Mom Joe is outside. I'll go now. Take care. "

He ran outside the house. The truth is joe isn't here yet but he didn't want to cry.

Joe took him to an agency. He still didn't explain what was going on. He missed his friends. They were like this. They were now sitting and waiting for someone to come and call them inside a room. A few minutes later they were called.

"So who is applying?"
A man in his 40s said. Tess slowly raised his hands.

" okay sign here."

Ohm started reading the contract that he got in his hand. It said he has to be the manager of one celebrity and has to take care of that celebrity. He can quit after 3 months but if that celebrity doesn't want him as his manager that celebrity can fire him. That kinda seemed hard and intimidating but he wanted to try. Especially after seeing Talay's mother's face this morning, he wants to do his best.

He signed the contract. It's just 3 months. He can do it.

The man started to explain his work and how he need to take care of the celebrity. Tess was focusing on the instructions that he didn't even notice someone entering the room. The man started to talk but tess was trying to memorize the schedule in front of him.

"Oh hi. Here's your manager. I hope you two get along. "

"Thank you"

Someone took the seat beside tess. Tess turned around to see who it was and...

"YOU!"

Both of them yelled at the same time. The man got startled.

" great! You two already know each other! Now Mr Manager Talay and celebrity puen can work in peace"

"No p' i Don't wanna work with him. I'm not on good terms with him. "
The man smiled at tun and walked to him. He put his hand on tun.

" then this might be the universe telling you to work things out together. Look tun. Give him a chance. If you don't like him you can fire him after a week" maybe he was right. Maybe they did switch the universe so they can come close to each other.

The man walked out of the room. It was just me and tun now. Joe was waiting outside. Thank god he Isn't here. I glanced at tess and saw him biting his lips harshly.

"That's puen's lip that you are biting. Don't hurt his body"

"Ew. Why would you say it like that" tun looked disgusted but stopped torturing himself? "

" you are a dirty-minded person. "

"Whatever. I'm not working with you. Mr Tess, you are fired before you even start working."
Tess felt uneasy hearing this sentence. If it wasn't for Talay's mom he would've never put in this much effort.

"No tun. I need the money. "

Tun laughed mockingly.

" thanks to this universe travelling... The great tess is now begging at my feet huh! How does it feel to work? "

Tess couldn't utter a word. It hurt his ego. He was getting angry but he can't show it.

Tun left the room and closed the door with a bang. Tess asked god why it was happening to him. Was he that bad that he is getting punished like this?
