JUNE 28, 2020
nevada woke up topless and confused. to say she had a hangover was an understatement. she felt like there was a small animal trying to claw out of her head.
she stumbled out of bed and stopped dead in her tracks once she realized there was a body that spent the entire night next to her.
a body that wasn't vinnie's.
"no," nevada whispered to herself in complete disbelief. "there's no way." she couldn't have cheated, right? especially with griffin, right? she's not that kind of person. had if she didn't black out, then maybe she'd be able to confirm it for a fact.
nevada slowly opened her drawers and shakily threw on a sweatshirt, trying to not wake griffin up. her mind was racing and she was beating herself up trying to figure out what the hell happened last night.
she stumbled out of her room and went downstairs, where she stopped dead in her tracks once she saw bryce and camila conversing over drinking iced coffee.
"i did something bad," nevada interrupted, causing their conversation to stop. bryce turned to her and raised an eyebrow. "what the fuck are you on?"
nevada takes a deep breath. "i think i cheated on vinnie."
bryce and camila completely stopped what they're doing and have the most confused look on their face. "why would you think that?" camila asked. "i'm saying," bryce added on, "and the fact that your alcoholic ass can't even confirm it."
nevada started to pace back and forth on the kitchen. "i just don't remember." she replied while shaking her head, "we were taking shots. we went to play pong. i think i went to the bathroom? then i wake up topless next to griffin."
"what?!" anthony yelled as he came down the stairs, scaring the shit out of all three of them. "you cheated on vinnie?!"
"not so fucking loud!" bryce shushed and threw a spoon at him. "it's not even confirmed, dumbass! and i doubt that nevada would actually that shit."
nevada's stomach turned. she knew in her heart she wasn't a cheater, even under the influence of alcohol, but the circumstances had made her think otherwise.
"i'm going to throw up."
"nevada-" camila started to say, but nevada didn't stay to listen as she made her way to the bathroom. whether it was the alcohol or nerves, she wasn't having a good time dealing with the overwhelming hangxiety.
nevada burst into the bathroom and hunched over the toilet, almost immediately releasing the contents of her stomach. she stops when she hears rustling behind the shower curtain and a person groaning.
she got up, rinsed her mouth, and pulled the curtain back.
what laid in the bathtub was a shirtless vinnie. glitter all over his body and a mustache drawn on his face. nevada tried to stifle her laughter as she attempted to wake him up.
"babe," nevada whispered and gently shook his shoulders. vinnie slowly opened his eyes and jumped up, nearly hitting her. "relax. big ass shoulders almost took the me the fuck out, my god."
vinnie sat upright and gave nevada a kiss on her cheek. "i'm sorry, vegas." he groaned as he placed his head in his hands. "i can't do this party shit anymore. i feel dead."
nevada nervously chuckled. "after you get yourself together, can you come to my room?" she asked as she played with her nails, avoiding eye contact.
"sure?" vinnie replied, trying to ignore the put in his stomach. nevada's tone was unlike her.

"i think i cheated on you with griffin." nevada blurted out as soon as vinnie closed the door, not even elaborating further and just getting straight to the point.
she was worried for his reaction, but instead he just laughed. vinnie laughed so hard he started choking and tears came down his face.
nevada has never seen vinnie laugh that hard in his entire life.
vinnie managed to calm himself and cleared his throat, "why would you ever think that? and with griffin of all people?" he let out another chuckle. "you're crazy."
nevada was confused on why vinnie wasn't taking her seriously, as she literally woke up next to a man that wasn't her boyfriend.
"tell me what's on your mind, vegas." vinnie commented, being able to read her like a book.
"i'm glad you find this funny." nevada took a deep breath and continued, "i just- i woke up topless next to griffin. and- and i just don't remember anything after pong."
vinnie started laughing again. "it's not funny!" nevada replied and hit him with her squishmallow. "i've been on the verge of shitting myself all day!"
"griffin drank too much and stumbled into your room. you were topless because after pong, you once again managed to throw up on yourself, rather than in toilet. you really gotta learn to hold your tequila, vegas," vinnie explained.
"still doesn't explain how i ended up next to griffin."
"drunk me can only carry you so far," he replied and flashed a smile. "you're good. no cheating. still married." he looked at nevada, almost like he had more to say, but decided not to.
before she could reply, vinnie took it upon himself to tackle her and plant kisses all over her face, while she was screaming with laughter.
his explanation actually made sense, and gave her a peace of mind. it definitely made her more aware of her drinking habits, as it's made her realize maybe blacking out shouldn't be the end goal of every party.
"i'm so lucky to have you."
"i'm the lucky one, vegas. you're amazing."
